so I just spent

four and a half hours in the hospital. yeehaw. And I get to go back there in about four more hours to get even more IV antibiotics. I already got two rounds of them and a round of anti-inflammatorys. Seven blood samples taken (all but one from teh same spot though)

and no, they don't know what's wrong. Testing for mono but they say it's unlikely. Doc suggested it's an infection riding along with my cold, hence the antibiotics. My throat has been getting progressively more swollen these last couple days, I could barely swallow when I woke up this morning

but damn
4.5 hours of just sitting and waiting, and having salt water dripped into me (along with the antibiotics and antiinflammatories)

 

well, i hope you get better. seems like a lot of people are getting sick. hopefully its nothing bad and you'll be able to ride it out.

I actually feel tons better already, I think cuz of the anti-inflammatories. It was just a loooong time to spend in one place

I have been refusing the IV for the past five days now. I really should allow it to cleanse the toxins from my liver.

I called my best friend to see if she wanted to come hang out with me at the hospital for my night visit (since we haven't seen each other in a while) and she mumbled something about being too busy, said goodbye and hung up

sore throat? cant swallow? sounds like me last week.. im being tested for mono as well....

those hospital trips seem a bit excessive? i dont think ive ever been to an actual doctors thingy before or a hospital.

 

well, they're giving me antibiotics intravenously every 8 hours, rathere than making me swallow pills with a swollen throat

but yeah, the first doc I saw said he's been seeing this a lot lately... school starting up probly doesn't help prevent it's spread :S
