So.... I wanna be a hippie

I just got into liking hippies. And I wanna be one. Where do I start???

 

Man , the only thing you have to do is follow the Peace and Love way, nothingh more,
but if you are interested in geeting some fashion and jujus colars bracellests just let your mind flow and be one beathifull person
But sure there are forums here about fashion,hippy jujus , pictures of hippies they way of living stories just learn to surf on this site and you will find everything you need , afteralll this is the Hip Forums

I'd say freedom is a pretty great part, the feeling you'll just end up somewhere, and can follow your own ideals.. and those ideals should be based on love and peace, which is where I'm different from hippies, although love is great, fcourse.

theres no one way to be a hippie
in fact i'd go as far as to say that its the absence of any other sterotypical classification
if your not a yuppy goth punk emo whatever, then you'll probably be called a hippie
hippies dont exactly fit into any classifications of style attitude or whatever they live outside the box, however most are about peace & love, & after all arent those the 2 most important values to have?
be yourself & you already are what you seek to be

 

yeah yeah yeah what they all say is great...but if you really want to be a hippie first you'll need a hat, and some hemp necklaces...like 3 or 4 at least
always throw up a peace sign in every picture taken and start smoking pot

Don't do ANYTHING to try and "fit the part."

Don't go out and buy "hippie clothes" to fit an "image."
Don't do drugs simply because you think it's a "hippie thing to do."
Don't listen to oldies/classic rock/psychedelica because it's a "hippie thing."
Don't find a list of hippie ideas and suddenly agree with all of them.

Just be yourself, love, and appreciate. That's all a hippie is. If you want to do drugs, do them because you want to. If you want to listen to that music, listen to it because you enjoy it....and so on.

Don't try and fit some part.

Just chill and be peaceful and loving.
That's all there is to it.

hippies pretend to hate fashion hippies, but they think your a square if you're not in hippie costume, it's the truth i've seen it. [edit] not "always", but i've seen it.

Anyhow anyone who is not in denial of their true nature IS a hippie. Most people are I think.
