So what's wrong with cannibalism?

Or using ground-up corpses as fertilizer for crop fields?

Really, wouldn't it put dead bodies to use, rather than letting them fester in the dirt?

We slaughter animals for food in very "inhumane" ways, why can't we be like some of those tribes from Africa and eat our dead? Our society says no to this idea, but does logic say yes?

If placed into a survival situation, would you eat the other-other white meat?

    :p

Ive pondered this too. i guess its hard to imagine your grandma, sister, mother or lover being consumed. Our ideas on death and life and relationships would have to change. I don't think their is anything necessarily wrong with cannibalism but the question is why do that?

I do however not see any reason why we shouldnt naturally decompose in the ground and join the circle of life instead of rotting in a casket

You can't use meat as fertilizer!

But yeah, if I was starving then I'd have no problem eat human flesh.

And I don't think the Indigenous Tribes, or at least the ones that I know about, eat the flesh for nutrition. They eat it because they are repulsed by the idea of letting a loved one's body rot and be consumed by insects. Some tribes actually let the meat spoil for the sole purpose of not enjoying it.

Huh, you can't compost meat? Just veggie matter? hm.

What about using bodies to farm grubs which are high in protein? :p

I want my body to be used for something when i die.... not just rot away. I'm a registered organ donor, but because my body is pretty much saturated in THC they probably wouldn't want to use my organs, even if they are still perfectly good... I wouldn't mind my body being used for maybe compost or something, maybe for a cannabis plant?
I really don't mind whatever they use my body for. i'd love it if it was used for art or science, like the Bodies Exhibit. I went to see that; it was so fascinating and haunting.

it is a disease of the brain caused by eating infected human brains. it is related to mad cow disease. i'm quite sure i could eat human flesh; i'm over joyed i never been put into that situation and, i pray i never well be put into it either! i have paid for a cremation policy for myself and, my body will be cremated upon my death. my cremaes will be scattered over the ocean. i quess the fish will eat me.

You can get it from eating human flesh other than the brain, it just develops faster if it's the brain you consume.

Would I eat somebody as a matter of survival, yes and I'd have no qualms about it in fact it wouldn't even gross me out. All meat is the same on a basic level, protein in one form or another. When I die I want anything useful that's left to be used to help somebody else (which definitely won't be my lungs because I smoke two packs a day) and all the leftover pieces I don't really give a crap about. I won't be around to give two shits anyway I guess just dispose of it in the most economic way. Once my soul leaves it it'll just be a pile of meat anyway.

I watched this show on cannibalism for survival, try this one on for size.

There were these sailors who got lost at sea during the 1800s and food was a seriously minor issue compared to hydration. They had to kill somebody each day and drink their blood while the people were still conscious (if you wait for them to die completely the blood clots up and loses it's hydration value or something).

Cannibalism has always disturbed me to the core.

Just the thought of it makes me want to vomit.:puke:

And as far as the recyling of human remains goes, I have chosen to donate my body to science when I die. My skeleton can teach future students anatomy, and my organs can possibly save a life. It's better than becoming worm food.

if you're that desperate to live, you're fucked up.
why would you want to live that bad? kill your friend, neighbor, relative, human counterparts just so YOU could live.
Guess YOU must be most important.

hmmm I didn't really phrase that correctly, I WOULDN'T murder somebody but I'd draw straws or something (but if they back out I probably would kill them because that's fucked up) and if I got the short straw I'd slit my throat and that would be that.

Meat composts easy. Most people just don't put meat in their compost piles because it attracts vermin and may smell bad.
