Hello, are you prepared for the solar eclipse tomorrow morning? I hope it will be a clear and bright morning like the one today. Regards Gyro PS: Sorry, but you have to be in Europe for having all this fun
I'm going to get up and go and try and take some photos, if the sky is clear... which it probably wont be.
Thanks man. I hope so too, but I don't think I have the right equipment really for close ups of this, but maybe I'll get some more nice panoramics anyway. It's just a 10 mega pixel tesco job, nikon coolpix. It's a pretty good camera but probably not for this... Be nice to see it anyway. There are apparently 3 more to come this year.
Hello, I have not much hope, but we will see. Unfortunately I don't have any filters at home. Maybe I will find a piece of developed bw photographic film in my junk box. Regards Gyro
Hello, with this approach we can claim that we have a solar eclipse 5 or 6 times a week . Regards Gyro
Nah, I think I’ll just stick around here until 2050 when it's directly overhead I did however see and photograph the 1993 event which was seen throughout the Northern U.S. and Southern Canada :2thumbsup: Hotwater
Hello, I'm not exactly sure if I'm still alive in 2050. Anyway, we had a total solar eclipse in Germany in 1999. It was haunting. It got dark (surprising, hu?) and cold. And the birds and the other wildlife stopped yelling and prepared for the night. After some minutes the sun came back and it was such a nameless feeling. I can't really describe it, it's far out. You have to experience it yourself. After that one can imagine what incient people might have felt during an eclipse. Regards Gyro
