http://www.cbc.ca/world/story/2009/04/12/thailand-protesters.html Anyone in the Thailand region? I hope the violence ends - and not like what was happening in Greece.
The irony is the guy who got appointed PM my mass protests is now having the army open fire on protesters. And who is PM now, does anyone know about the ideology behind them: Basically they realized in the cities(their main support base) that they'd never win elections against the majority of the poor countryside, so you know, democracy as they said isn't for them
I had no idea Thailand was such a mess politically thanks for the heads up gang. I'll be reading up on it.
I was just in Thailand not two months ago, I'm glad I'm not there anymore. But dont let this discourage you from going, because the only dangerous places are the protests. Did you know that most of those protesters get paid to be there?
heres an idea! How about we don't throw rocks at the soldiers! Geee! That sounds great! You think they wont shoot at us this time? I dont know, but its worth a shot! they will throw rocks they will get shot at they will complain for being shot at they will forever remain fucking idiots :cheers2:
Royalism is about stability, everyone knows who is going to be the monarch and her/his heir and thus no one seriously believes they can replace them, at most they might think they can become the equivalent of shogun or something but nothing more. Furthermore there are few opportunities to educate and indoctrinate someone from birth for a role, it would be great if all our scientists and CEOs were university graduates by the time they were 16, this should be done for the figurehead of the nation.
