I think they are wonderful! Did you make the beads out of avacado seeds too?

yes i did i know theyre not round lol but is hard because of the weird angles i had to cut the seed and its so rock-solid that i found it very difficult to shape lol.

but still- i need 2 buy more avacadoes! my grandad is a carpenter so hes sending me some oak wood to carv with=D that should be good practice=D

I hope you like to eat avacado, like me! hahaha. But it is a nice, cheap accessible material.

they look great, especially the little beads. I like Fehu, but i usually put Mannaz and Uruz in my carvings. the flower looks great, too. did you use a dremel for this?

no lol i used a sharp needle and the tip of a small metal file and just sorta scraped it in lol...it was difficult doin round egdes but hey i didnt mind.

do you think i should buy more materials and see if i can get any sold? i thought about this but wasnt sure because i like my carvings to be a little more personal but if somebody would like me to make them something id be happy too.

anyway thanks for the compliments =D

definately try selling them. it looks like you do good work. i use dremel when i make these. it's a lot easier.

a dremel is a rotating grinder/sander that fits in your hand. they have replaceable bits, so you can use one bit to carve the piece, one bit to sand it down, and another to polish it. that's what i do, at least. pretty efficient little tool.

cool :) i've thought about doing this before but never got around to it. it kinda reminds me of kukui nuts in hawaii, but those are much smaller and usually aren't carved, but just polished and used like beads

cool. well iv always kinda wanted to do it and hipforums has encouraged me to try new things and its helpful getting into new hobbies at my age anyway. me and my gf were just eating cherries and shes go me 2 save the seeds so i can try and make small beads out of them for her hehe.

and a dremel sounds very helpful. i think i used 1 when i was like 8 lol....

ill have a look in some stores where i live

those are so cool! And you can always grow an avacado tree (although it would take 4 years to start producing the fruit) to save money on buying them. keep up the good work pal!
