This yeast infection is UNBEARABLE. I want to CRY!!!! I took a prescription pill last night. It isn't working fast enough. Is there ANYTHING natural that I can do to help ease the pain/itchiness? Everytime I get sick this happens. I had a sinus infection earlier this week. :( :( :(

    Help!

    Thanks!

Oh hon, that sucks. I've never had a "down there" infection, so I don't really know how you feel, but I can imagine. I looked up a few things, so maybe one of these links could help? Although, some of them seem strange...

I think plan yogurt might help. Also, have you ever been to the drug store and seen those all natural milk baths?

I took a few when I had the chicken pox as a young adult and it really took the itch out of skin. Give it a try.

According to my Book of Home Remedies:

    Sleep Naked
    Wear loose clothing
Dab hydrocortizone around the vulva and vaginal opening
Sit in a sitz bath (warm water to the hip, 1/2 cup of salt, 1/2 cup vinegar) with legs apart until water is cool.
Wear cotton undies, and iron the crotch after washing the ones you are wearing now (the heat will kill any yeast left over from washing them)

a lot of the creams that you can buy in pharmacies without a prescription also come with an external cream, or sell the external cream separately as an add on right beside. those things are a goddess-send, they are awesome

for instant relief, nothing feels better for me than just smearing cold, plain yoghurt all over your crotch. also, if you have a syringe without needle, like for giving oral medicine, fill it up with yoghurt and carefully squirt it inside.
i get horribly itchy and burny and thats the one thing that really helps right away. it will also help cure the infection by balancing out your natural bacteria. when i used to get yeast infections all the time, i would eat plain yoghurt everyday and i think it really helped. another good thing is to bathe your vulva with goldenseal tincture mixed with water. its a anti microbial and feels nice when its cold.
    hope you feel better soon!

OK, so I am not a woman, but when my wife got these it was ALWAYS after taking medication for another illness.
She would call the doctor and he would prescribe another medication for the yeast infection, and that woulf clear it up.
I really feel sorry for you if you are going through anything like my wife had to.

We tried the yogurt thing, both internally and orally, but didn't work fast enough for her.

I used to get terrible yeast infections when I was little...they just went away eventually and never really came back./
But my sister had one when she was pregnant and her midwife said to have "yogurt sex" lol. She did and the infection went away in a matter of days, so I suggest yogurt most deffinatly.

thank you! this releaved the itchiness/burning for a while. I'm going to do it again tomorrow morning. I suggest everyone to try this when the yeast takes over! This infection has to be the worst I've ever had! I just want it to go away already!

    hmmmm yogart sex...
