Lately, I cannot change my home page. It automatically goes to res://ygmvt.dll/index.html#12802 and my popup blocker program dissappeared. I use Earthlink and their popup blocker. It worked fantastic up until a week or so ago. Now I cant get into several programs like Kazaa Lite and a few others. I've tried re-installing my popup blocker but it doesn't show up anywhere. It usually becomes one of my toolbars in Internet Explorer, but I can't load it anywhere. I downloaded Ad-Aware 6.0 and it found stuff, but did not fix any of my problems.

Now when I open up my Windows Task Manager, I have multiple copies of Devldr32.exe, SVCHOST.exe, and some thing I've never seen before. How can I : #1 get rid of my internet problem, #2 see what programs load on startup, #3 lose the multiple copies of items running.

    Thanks guys.

you at the very least got a browser hijacker. Try CWShredder. It may be all you need. To see what loads on startup, go to the start>run>msconfig.
there you will have a startup tab.

Tried it, everything said "Not Infected". No cigar!! Any other tips?? I really dont want to have to re-install windows. What about my startup menu?? Is there a way I can select what programs are opening up on startup?? Maybe the culprit is in there.

I did that, and selected items I wanted to not start up, but I dont know exaclty what programs are vital to the startup. Too much computer lingo for me to decifer if its a passive program that should be running, or a program that should not be running.

More than likely what's hi-jacking your browser can be removed by Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs, and removing any conspicuous software ("MyWebSeach", etc.).

Ok, here;s what you do. Open Ad Aware and click the world icon at the very top right to get the latest upgrade, close Ad Aware and open it again, run it and save a logfile on your desktop, do not do any fixes yet.
Now, go to Wilders Security Forums
Register and then go to this thread
    >>Here<<
very carefully! Follow the instructions and post a logfile as stated. It may take a bit as they are very bucy so just have some patience and they'll help you ASAP....
While you are waiting try a search of your problem there, maybe you can find a fix but I'd still wait for the experts to deal with your particular problem.
Another thing, SVCHOST.exe, you need this file, don;t touch it! The guys at wilders will tell you which programs to 86!!
    Peace!

    Download this program:
    AdAware
It gets rid of any annoying software that tries to take over your computer.;)

I had a similar problem, it was a virus. Try www.free-av.de (click on "English" on the left side), it's the best free virus scanner available and solved my problem.
