so me and a couple buddies were sittin around shootin pool the other day and we got on the topic of how different artists will fall asleep with coins... lighter... cup... keys.. or whatever else will make noise.. in their hands.. so that when they are in between awake and sleeping they drop.. the whatever they are holding and wakes them up... and what this does is flashes a quick image of whatever they may have been thinking about and will run and paint or draw that thing... Salvador Dali was known for doin this to come up with paintings... sorta interesting if ya ask me
now that's something i'll have to try sometime when i'm not really needing a lot of sleep and need inspiration more! =^^= .../\...
I am an abstract artist. I dont have a lot of talent for skilled art. But when I work on something, I just go ahead and do it without much concern for the outcome. I use the colors that I feel like using, draw the shapes that want to be drawn. At the end, I look at what I've done and usually see (in an abstract way) something that was deep inside projected. I think Dali and other artists are going for the same thing- drawing out the unconscious. But really, you just have to let go a little bit.
Wow, That is very interesting! I ought to try that sometime! I probably won't paint the image, seeing as my stick figures are bad, but I sould write them down. That is an interesting fact, though! Thanks for sharing! Peace Out, Tasare
im sure it could work for other things as well... like writing... cant figure out how to go about something... so think about the situation.. go through the same steps and a thought my burst in your mind.. helping you to write something
thats really interesting! I kinda want to try it haha.. but Im not that good of an arteest... and I love drawing hands Im not sure why....
