things are-a happenin', again and again
the sounds of the city, they just seem to come in
the hustle and bustle, ain't no hustle and flow
life's at it's quickest when life seems so slow
you voice your opinion with stickers on cars
you're told to excel and you hope to go far
daylight, nighttime, downtown, one love
friends and foes, a push and a shove
welcome to wonder, the showtime begins
as the sounds of the city just seem to come in
