i am a definite huge fan of the show..i'd say it's the best cartoon ever created and probably the edgiest show on television today. last night's episode though...if there is ever an example of 'too soon'...this is it. they were already broaching(right word?) the terri schiavo subject. kenny was run over by an ice cream truck while playing his sony psp. when he dies Peter tells him that god created psp to see who should lead heaven in the battle against hell (lord of the rings/matrixesque). But then the doctors revive kenny and he becomes a vegetable. It was so current it was ridiculous. But, i have to say, she hadn't even died yet and they were talking about it. They were really making a mockery more of the media and not of terri schiavo, but still, the poor lady was not even dead yet and this was on comedy central. I will say though...against that, it was one of the funniest, edgiest episodes of that show i have ever seen...and that is saying something. anybody else see it?

    I thought it was high-larious.

"If I am in a persistant, vegitative state please...for the love of God don't show me in that condition on national television."

i loved how they kept referring to Kenny as "kinda like Kianu Reeves" just so they didnt have to explain what powers he really had hahahahah.

but yeh i dont like when they models their shows to resemble something that has actually just happend; i like when the satire is a bit more subtle.

i didnt actaully see the episode, but i dont think it would have made any sense to have it aired lets say a few months from now.

One thing I like about south park is that occaisionally they have a message in their episodes. What would be the point of getting that message out if the subject was a thing of the distant past?

yeah, i do hear what you're saying. timeliness is an important factor in creating something worth seeing. don't get me wrong, i found it to be funny as hell..but maybe they could have given it a week. the one that was on at 9:30 last night was really funny too. mr mackey started doing all kinds of drugs and ike was getting a "circumstision" as the boys dubbed it. also know as having his fireman chopped off as cartman thought was the practice.
