    Southern Tea

Inhaling deeply, a clean blend of
    lemonade and gardenia
imprinted casually in a shirt collar
Somewhere below the timid shadow of
a toothpick that grows as the Marlboro
red sun sets over aged green waters
glistening fromreflections of nearby grill fires
and the flittering of lighting bugs
    trapped in jelly jars
The noise permeates the air, as thick as
lit citronella candles and those savored
    delicately whispered "honeys"
in back yards filled with the endless clutter
of pine cones and crabapple blossoms
Rocking rhythmically on a porch swing
to the nonchalant knocking of ice
in a tall glass of lemon tea,
    Heavily sugared, just like the
    South

This is great. I like the Marlboro red sun. Nice warm tone, colours, smells.
