So I was thinking, it'd be so easy to rap in spanish. Everything ends with an 'a' or 'o,' so it all rhymes!

theres this crazy dude Taktloss, he does rhymes in German. It's pretty cool surprisingly.. All I know about spanish rap, is seeing music videos years ago, with like lowrider bikes and pitbulls walking down an alley, wearing wife beaters

It would also be easy to put 'em up against the Wall of Berlin and mass-exterminate Spanish rappers. I've never heard anything more annoying. Even some whiny alternative shit compares favorably.

I'm Dominican. I lived in Santo Domingo all of my life.

I HATE reggaeton, with a passion.

If you like Eros Ramazzotti (sorry I hate him too, there was this guy at work that listen to it everyday and apparently he didnt know what headphones were). Luis Miguel, ahh.. I dont know. I dont hate him, but I dont like him, is just not my kind of music.

I do like a lot of music in Spanish, well not a lot, but some. OHh one ery cool hip hop artist is Makiza. They are from Chile, I dont think they're together anymore. Let's see who else I like? Cultura Profetica, Fito Paez (sometimes, not so much lately), Gustavo Cerati, some Soda Stereo, Manu Chao, Pedro Guerra, Ely Guerra, Masrhon, Kevin Johansen. I cant think of any others right now.

Oh, okay, I never would have guessed you'd be dominican. wow, I havent heard of any of those people. Erosion ramazzotti can get annoying because his voice is piercing, but him slower stuff is good. I think I like Luis Miguel coz I grew up on it. Now I seldom listen to Mana and Cafe Tacuba, but Spanish music and language are rarely in my daily life. My sister is into spanish music, and she likes reggaeton. I cant stand it. you know what else I dont like? bachata.. its so annoying.

Ha, it's funny people always seem to be surprised when I say I'm dominican. I dont know why.

Bachata is extremely extremely bad. I say it's the latin country music. My sister was a big Luis Miguel fan, I know all of his songs, is just what I call "musica de telenovela".

I like some things of Cafe Tacuba.. Mana bleh, not my thing. I actually met them once back home, we were on the beach and so were they. The singer is an asshole. The drummer is super cool and friendly.

One of my moms boyfriends was from colombia, so he had bachata playing all the god Damn time. I cant stand it. hahaha telenovela music. its true. Ive heard the singer of Mana is an ass. I have a friend who toured with Jaguares a few years back opening for them and Mana, and others, and they confirmed he is an ass, especially after a few drinks.

The only Spanish rap I really know is Orishas, which is so-so.

Other than that... there's a whoooole lot of good Spanish music that's not rap out there. Manu Chao (and Mano Negra) are Gods among men. Then there's Soda Stereo, Cafe Tacuba, Heroes Del Silencio (and Bunbury's solo stuff ain't bad), Elefante, Buena Vista Social Club, Gypsy Kings, and so on and on and on and on and on.
