Folks - just moved to Dubai, and wondering about something... I've seen people trying to sell phone numbers & licence plates with "VIP numbers" (e.g. 4662294, 297-297-9) etc. Wondering - what makes these numbers so special? Are there religious connotations, or is it the repeating numbers? Please help me understand... Thanks!
    Peace,
    UrbanHippie.

i don't think that numbers related to religion (i was born as a muslim)..they're only easy to memorise..

This is a good post .. from what I noted this is also the case in Saudi Arabia , and used to be in kuwait before 90s the sole purpose of this is that .. those people think getting a number like this will make them look special ..
Im afraid , its hard to see someone's value through such materialistic confirmation..
