Speech Team Auditions

soo im auditioning for my school's speech team tomorrow and we're suppose to find something to read aloud to them like a poem or an expert from a book or something. i kind of want something with a cool meaning, not just some random thing to read. so yeah, any suggestions would be nice

its suppose to last about two minutes, but i'm sure they'd accept a little under/over that.

I'd read something unique.
Maybe even write your own material.

 

i do write poems, but im not really confident enough in them to read them aloud to people.
