Not talking about "religion"... Eating LSD is like eating food. Some people eat food because they like the taste or are hungry. Some people eat it for the nutritional value it has to offer. I think acid has pure spirituality to offer but some people just like to trip balls. I like both. Food that tastes good and makes me feel good, but is nutritionally beneficial. A well balanced approach works best I think. :cheers2:
Yeah. It's an eye opener and a blast all mixed in one. I really love that shit. Wish I could find some lol.
you know it's funny I will have a peak spiritual experience and seemingly grand epiphanies and the place that they end up pointing to is the more playful or frivolous side of acid like dancing or staring at art or tripping out on glowsticks. Acid can get very holy and sacred and the lesson learned is that those simpler things without obvious spiritual connotations are exactly what are sacred and holy. It's one of acid's ironies that you can get so far out and so in tune with oneness and the "instructions" that you had to go so far out to get are to be playful, lighthearted and simple. something Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh said comes to mind:
Acid provides great excitment as a fun drug to play on, but at the same time it can be so much more than that. it can be a glorious "sacrament" that shows us our connection to everything else and thus can be "spiritual" unfortunately, spirituality doesn't much differ from religion...it greatly differs from organized religion, but not religion itself. spirituality was a word created to either condemn religion, or with a negative connotation to "new age thinkers". taking lsd doesn't necessarily mean performing a religious act, although it definitely can, if the person who eats it feels that way. The way most people put acid into their mouths and then prepare themselves for a sacred journey, separating it from their ordinary daily life is a justone way of making it religious.... but it can just be fun too, don't get me wrong thank you for this bunra bowl i want to read more by this person if you have any suggestions let me know
I only stumbled onto one of Rajneesh's books called "hammer on the rock" that someone gave to me which is basically a dialogue based book between him and various darshans and westerners visiting him in India. Basically people doing meditation groups and the ensuing discussion. Every page is very relevant to psychedelia though.
i believe it...i googled him after i made that post and realized he was OSHO. i still dont know much about who osho is, but i shopped at various OSHO shops in India, and skimmed his books but thank you
Indeed, acid is so versatile. I believe its main and most fulfilling purpose is that of spirituality, but so many other great things come with it. You mean i get to witness my brain working, get in touch with my spiritual side, and get high all at the same time?! ALLL RIIGHT!!!
OSHO! He is truly a great master! His visions of humanity are those of a truly enlightened person! I was actually on amazon about to order one of his books right before i read this. We could learn a great deal from his words.
i love rajneesh. his words almost cost me my sanity a few years back though. lol (i joke, but at the same time not really, i probably wasnt grounded enough at the time) he's written some pretty potent books. i got real into "the book of the secrets"...dude should have a warning in the beggining pages though.... WARNING: this book is going to flip your shit....if taken sincerely your world is likely to change drastically. for the void, being a double edged sword...can be the slayer of our dreams as well as our illusions im not real sure what i think of him as a person....he's a character. theres an old hippy i run into every once in a while here who lived with rajneesh for a few years at his ashram. also quite a character...lol
Definitely gotta go see what this Rajneesh guy is all about now I love getting the same shit repackaged and spiced up. OSHO ten commands, haha, different
dude had a rolls royce for everyday of the year. (nearly....he had 3 hundred and 40 somthin i think) he definatly wasnt your average "guru" type. alot of people believe he was assasinated by the united states government. another fun one is gurdjeiff. if your into osho, you'll be able to appreciate gurdjeiff.
"in future, when drunk, try to see self this same way as you saw last night. this can be very good exercise for you, will also help to not get drunk" -gurdjeiff lol. i love it.
Yeah you might just too many glimpses of "Oh so this is what the fuck I've been doin wrong" all at once.
