Because there is a BIG difference in receiving Enriched Uranium like the Saudi's want.

Iran wants to master the nuclear fuel cycle.
Even tho they have already bought and paid for Enriched Uranium from Russia.

 

What's to stop the Saudis from that same ambition?

And I don't think the inspectors have reported anything of the sort on Iran.

Try reading their "IAEA" reports, are you saying you havent seen or read any reports from IAEA inspectors or the Security Council that prove Iran is enriching uranium?????

Well to me the spirit of the non-proliferation treaty was to cut down on nuclear weapons, countries would not pursue their development yes, but the trade off was that those that had them would reduce (and in the end eliminate them) and also would not pursue their further development, or try and enhance or expand on their possible uses.

But US governments have continued to develop their nuclear weapons and places like the UK are in the process of upgrading their own. The US has also talked about expanding the role of nuclear weapons to such things as ‘bunker busters’ and the much vaulted ‘defensive shield’ also works as a means of enhancing the effectiveness of the US’s nuclear threat by trying to reduces the possibilities of retaliation.

The thing is that US foreign policy has encouraged states to seek nuclear or other weapons of mass destruction. For example by invading non-nuclear Iraq but negotiating with nuclear North Korea.

I think it very possible that if the neo-con’s fantasy about the Iraq invasion had come about (US seen as liberators, puppet government in place, permanent bases established etc) then US forces would by now be attacking Syria or Iran. What saved the mad mullahs and the Syrian ba’athists was American incompetence, but both now that the US holds grudges and that circumstance might change. And so it stands to reason that if they had nukes then the US is going to negotiate rather than invade.

The best way to keep your enemies weak is to deny them the big stick you already possess.

People in the Middle East are tired of being on the short end of our stick. They want equality. Either you assist them along or follow the old school way of bombing them into submission.

Either has tremendous consequences. We've brought every bit of it upon ourselves.

Well keeping countries not up to date in the 21st century is directly due to making certain people in our country richer, meaning that is the 3rd world countries on this planet were up to date like the US, China, Japan, Ect...then the world's supply of oil (which is a limited resource) would be more evenly distributed throughout(competition which means lower price)....so the US has helped in keeping it that way to keep the big supply coming here....It's a vicious cycle, the US economy was built solely on the reliance and dependence of crude oil now to the point where if we do not have it, this economy would and is going to crumble...so these fuckers in Iran, Iraq, where ever the fuck we get the oil from can charge however much they want because they know that we need and will pay whatever to get it.....and charge us up the ass for it....but anyways who cares who has nuclear bombs, I think they all know if one fires then there is going to be retaliation and it will only take but a few nukes the eff up the whole world and set us back to the stone age....too much damn typing to elaborate my entire thought
