I have been able to make due with what I have to work with for the last 6 years, however this coming spring I am rejoining the swimming pool to loose some weight and also to maybe recapture my youth on the swimming team. I have not been swimming since I started my dreads over 6 years ago. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do, what kind of swim caps are available for dreads shoulder length, etc. I really would appreciate any help.
I don't think there are any caps for dreads that'll keep your hair dry. Just swim once or twice a week making sure your dreads thoroughly dry between each swim. You could tie 'em up high on your head maybe? You could try this but it says they don't keep hair dry http://www.swimcapsbyfran.com/extra-extra-large
I think he's looking for swim caps big enough to contain his dreads, not to keep them dry but to streamline while swimming. I dunno though, sorry
I am planning on swimming up to 4 at the most days a week. I have shoulder length dreads and figure I could braid them into two big braids then somehow cap them. So basically all of your responses are correct I think I may go with dreadhq "sock" for sleeping as a prototype?
