I luv that song, always have. And just now this friend of mine says he thinks of me whenever he hears it.. he says I'm the lady in the song. That's who I am =) I couldn't help but smile, I'm still am. I mean I've always listen to this song before sleep.. because "it makes me wonder". I think everyone has a different meaning on the song.. mine is optimism (sp) and hope. what is yours??
I love Stairway to Heaven. It's certainly one of my favourite songs. I could listen to it all day. In fact I'm going to hire a guitarist with long hair who can play it to me constantly... Hmmm
lol, I agree with you about the song being somthing to do with "optimism". It's always made me feel quite emotional and sad at the same time though. I can very rarely listen to Stairway to Heaven without wanting to cry.. lol
There are a lot of mixed emotions in it. I mean its not really sad, but sometimes it makes you feel like that. For me is one of those songs, that everytime you listen to them, you discover something new about it.
It's a good song, I can't listen to it anymore. When I hear it nowadays, I just want it to hurry up and end. Seems to drag on forever. Skipped track
Ah man, stairway to heaven rocks...one of THE best if you ask me... It makes me think about...i dunno...an forest for some reason.. it just makes me feel VERY mellow, and yeah! the solo gives me that wierd spine tingle
For me is one of the greatest songs ever. It makes me think about how eveything has a purpose, and looking to the bright sides of things. I totally identify with the song.Great lyrics, Great music. The solo speaks for itself.
I wanna be your long haired guitarist. Just give me a Gibson Doubleneck, a Martin Acoustic Guitar, and a little bit of good lovin'.
Sadly for Americans... Their own FM "Classic Rock" Radio culture has ruined this song for a lot of people...
I got a trophy with 4 A's on it (which is the highest you can get) when I was in a judging thing for guitar....
Yesterday I was screwing around with my new editing program, Final Cut Express, and I found out how to play music backwards. Well I stuck Stairway in there, and around 4:38 robert clearly says "my sweet Satan" and tells a story about the devil who lives in his shed and takes people. WICKED COOL.
