Star Wars!

So a friend and I want to try to get like 3 or 4 hits of acid, or maybe an 8th of shrooms, and watch all the Star Wars all the way through.

All six episodes, from number 1 to number 6, back to back to back, trippin balls!

Sound like a good idea?

Yes very good idea, there are so many "holy shit" moment, pay attention to all of yoda's speeches in episode 5, pure epicness.

 

Definitely did this on like 45mg of 2c-t-2, the old episodes with puppet yoda i found very hard to contain my laughter=p

 

I don't think I could watch 6 movies in a row tripping or sober, but that's just me. It'd be cool to watch 1 or 2 though. Movies and tripping are good times.

in general i don't like this idea ya can do better save the star wars marathon for getting drunk or something lol

lol, typically this would be a waste of psychedelics, but when you've got psychedelics to waste, why not? LOTR was definitely an epic watch on a nice 2c-* trip=] go for it brah

 

Honest answer - I can think of hundreds of ways to better spend your time with acid than watching a Star Wars marathon.

But if you're going to do it at least skip Episodes 1-3
*shudder*

 

Lord of the Rings would be interesting, but I say Star Wars because the principle of seeing an intergalactic society and how it functions and how conscious use of the "force" would create another dimension of life and how we would use that power. Especially considering in this time period where becoming a part of a interstellar federation is quite possible.

I wanting to see what Star Wars truly reflects in our consciousness system. What is its nature, what has it revealed on the deeper level, why do nerds love this movie oh so much?

Who knows if ill actually be able to pay attention to all six movies, but maybe it will still be worth it. Maybe it will open some doors. Donnie Darko changed my life on acid, never would of thought how deep it got, but it got deeeeep. I feel as Star Wars wouldn't be a let down.

This is one of the experimental side trips, when its time to go to the deep abyss I'll go. Lucy is a good friend and will help either way.

 

I don't believe Star Wars ever presented a particularly compelling example of how an intergalactic society would function?
It was pretty bare-bones and unexplained, especially in the original movies.
I always thought Star Wars was more about the timeless journey of the Hero, the validity of faith, and the triumph of good over evil, told for a modern audience.
This is elucidated more thoroughly in Joseph Campbell's The Hero with a Thousand Faces.

 

Star Wars if fairly minimally philosophical from my memories of it. Certainly nothing like say, The Matrix trilogy. It is the hero story, as neo said. Ditto for LOTR but at least that one has way better graphics and story (imo)

Also consider that the "force" is a metaphor for something already in life, and not an actual *extraneous* entity which will be added in the future to life/consciousness/whatever. That's one thing I didn't like about star wars, they have this thing that is, to me, obviously a metaphor for Tao or something, and they use it to blow up things in a political war. Ehhhh.

 

I think we tried to watch 4,5,6 on acid one night, way back before prequels. It was dull (and I say this as a solid SW fan) and I think I spent most of my time doing other things.

I dunno. Acid and movies just don't do it for me, I guess.

 

i predict you will get half way through the first episode and give up. Save the movies,videogames, and tv for the ganja.

yea its better to watch when your coming down... music is far better for journeying if you're gonna stay inside

 

me and my friends did xanex and weed and watched yoda in the deggobah scenes, we came to the conclusion that yodas skin, fell of and within it all the knowledge of star wars, George lucas then found this little green bud one day and smoked it not knowing the stories within, thus creating star wars

 

I don't like watching movies on psychedelics really but if its your thing then go for it. Movies don't have to make the same sense while tripping as they do sober so really while neodude and others make good points, its really irrelevant to the psychedelic mind.

I do agree probably just watch 4-6 though. Even with LSD those 3 movies will consume basically the whole trip.
