Alright, ive been hearing a lot that zip bloc bags are not the best thing to keep your stash in. Is this actually true? If it is what do you guys keep your stash in?
never tried it but wouldnt it stay really fresh if u kept it somewhere slightly damp.. and sealed. like a cigar case with a humidfier thing in i for keeping cigars fresh.. seems like thatd be graet..
plastic bags are a shitty median for buds.. alot of trichomes(resin glands) get stuck to them, and i find it doesn't keep the herb as fresh i always store my buds in mason jars, assuming they're already dried(mold can form if not) and open it to let some air out once and a while.. this keep the bud fresh and cures it over time, which can change the characteristics of the high, make it taste better and smoother and all around make the bud better
I'd be too worried about mold. You don't wanna be smoking mold...plus it ruins the weed. I stick to an airtight bag (ziplock) and that's it.
if you really wanna get techie on how to store your bud. 2 good methods i've heard of is... at your local smoke shop they should sell these wooden containers where you can keep your nugs and also they have these metal round things with holes in it and you lightly soak it in water and keep that with your stash. another thing is an air tight glass jar. but as me for me i just keep it in a baggie or if it's a lot to where as i wouldn't be able to smoke it within a week, i store it in a tupperware ( thx mom) in the refrigerator
i usually dont buy more then an 8th at a time so i just keep it in the plastic bag i get it in and stash it ina ciggy box
I use an Altoids can. If i have a big stash, I keep it in Tuporware (sp?) w/ a little pices of apple...keeps it from getting dry.
i use little plastic cases like battery cases (you can find some places, i dont knwo why youd ever need them though) or better, cases for d-v tapes and stuff. unless you handle your weed with tweezers and stuff, your gonna loose heaps of trichomes anyway so the whole zip locks collecting the crystals is a bit of an exaggurated risk

Baby Food Jars makes great storage containers. When the seal wears out buy a new one they are cheap. They bud stays longer. After awhile you can feel and see the trichromes gathering in it. Scrap and smoke them.
