Hi everyone I'm new here, and it seems like a nice place to get some feedback and advice from helpful people! So without further ado, here is my situation - hopefully someone can shed some light on it! Basically I work with this girl who is amazingly beautiful in every respect, and she's in a relationship with a bit of a jerk (a guy - he won't let her study because he wants her to work, he checks up on her every hour kind of thing) - and everyone knows I'm gay. We work in entirely different sections and our job roles don't actually have any connection, but for the last 6-8 months or so we have spent a great deal of time with each other. It started off with her calling me into her office now and then, to her staying back up to an hour at a time, just to talk to me. We talk about anything - it will start off as something work related, but then just go anywhere. As I said, our jobs don't have any relation but she seems to find any reason she can to talk to me or even just watch me. (Yep, watch me work.) The first thing that started sticking out to me was her body language - despite being really shy and kind of conservative etc, when we started talking it would completely change. I'm pretty good at sensing that kind of thing, and the way she stares into my eyes is just electric. After a while I suggested she go and do something different (she was talking about her monotonous lifestyle), for this example I'll just say art galleries. So, after suggesting it to her she didn't really reply.. as she was leaving that day, she turned around and said in a really flirtatious way - "I'll only go, if you take me - just you and me". She's done that a few times, as she walks away to leave - she'll turn around and say something really... hot. Haha. I broke up with my partner about a month ago (we weren't going very well for a long time, but that's another story) - and she was really keen to find out we weren't together. This is getting a bit wordy, so I'll just summarize stuff that's happened in bullet form; - after she went home for the day, she realized it was my birthday when she got home (thanks facebook), she rang my work and convinced a few different people to embarass me/make a big deal out of it - just yesterday, she stayed back 2 hours past her shift and spent most of the time talking to me and grazing her hand near mine etc I guess I could come up with a lot more examples - but I guess that's a good summary! So we have a "date" planned in a couple of weeks, but I'm not sure where to go from here! Any advice appreciated!
Dangerous waters you're floating in ma'am! Yes from what you described it seems she has some attraction. She might just be curious, or considering the fact her boyfriend sounds like a real prince she might be man-hating. The point being, if you guys start something there's a good chance you might fall for someone that might seriously hurt you. BUT! if you're like me and laugh in the face of danger you might proceed, with caution of course. Be cool, calm, and collective. See what happens, and do your best to protect your heart (it's not always avoidable). Good Luck!
Yea Lilly, I agree with Bitti3z... it's great that you've gotten this far, just be careful of where it's going. I'd wager that she is just a bit curious... I mean go on the date for sure, but just be careful lest you get hurt by a misunderstanding.. But good luck! And welcome to hipforums!
