Straight guy giving off "Gay Signals"

It seems to happen alot to me..

Like yesterday, a friendly nod of the head to a guy that was glancing my way.. Next thing I know, he's moved to a seat nearer to me and his smile has widened!

Other times, because everybody believes they have a sixth sense for these kind of things, I've had to politely fend off the flirting of guys who've picked up something I've displayed in my body language..

So two questions..

1. What are these signals that gay men (not women. I assume there are a whole different set of signals for you!) pick up on?

2. Are we all a little bit gay? I know there as been a thread title for this already, but it became a humour thread.. I want to be serious here.. Do we all have the potential to be gay?

 

Could it be that you just send off an aura that draws people to you ?
Ive always found you to be a warm , wonderful person that I would love to be friends with....maybe thats what they see also ?? !!!

 

I should pay more attention to my daily doings...

The only thing I've ever consciously noticed is that when I worked for a charity to help less abled, People did seem to be drawn to me rather than other staff..

But I don't think I understand a fraction of what people seem to think I understand!

 

As for Gay signals , they are the same for men and women, But I honestly think what you were seeing is just guys who wanted to be friendly who happened to be gay. You are a verry like-able person. I really wouldnt worry...If a gay guy did happen to think you were cute...what would it hurt ? Just toss him a smile and move on !!!!

Not in Sri Lanka it isn't, but I guess i see what you are saying, I should talk to them first.

 

Yes...if he is straight..and a gay guy flirts with him...what would it hurt to just give the gay guy a smile and move on...he doesnt have to be rude or anything...just smile,
if the gay guy pursues then he should gently say no thank you.

 

What about the tossing? ... maybe it doesn't mean the same thing in America!

 

Hahaha...oh...Im sorry, thats a word I use out of habit !! ...I forgot its double meaning !!!! hahhaha

 

Yeah, I do always smile back.. at everybody!


I don't ever want to stop doing that, since it's pretty instinctive.. But maybe adopt a "special" smile that doesn't seem to mean I'm interested..

And I hate going away from the computer only to find a joke I 've had planned for hours has been stolen from me!

Thats a good idea....have a different sort of smile....I hadnt thought of that !!!

 

I've played with the length of my smile for years, but sometimes I'm so cheerful at the given moment that I forget to stop!

I go to a certain gay bar quite alot, and geuinely enjoy myself so much that I'm beaming most of the night. And yet, I feel comfortable there..

I already know I'm attractive to men, and that doesn't bother me either.

 

That is wonderful that you can feel so comfortable in your skin...most people spend their entire life just trying to get to that place !!!!

 

I got told by a lad I was shooting pool with that I looked the same age as him - 24!!


And I don't even drink the blood of vegans!

But hey, it serioulsy doesn't bother me! I'm on the verge of even being a little flattered by all this attention
