So... for couch lock, you want indica... to run across ceilings you want sativa... generally speaking of course...

    Here's the quesion...

Assuming a person could grow 3 dozen plants... would it be better to pick one strain that was mixed, two strains, one on each end, or three, two pures and a mixed?

My general inclination would be to say 3 strains... 2 pure and one near 50/50...

    Thoughts on this?

Is it possible to find three seperate strains that would all match up for their veg/flowering cycle (so only one room is needed)?

Also, it would be nice if people could suggest seed banks that they have used with no issues.

I usually grow 3-5 different strains in the garden without defference to which should go where, when a limb of bud gets ripe it gets harvested. This method thins them out slowly and makes room for the others to grow and mature:>)

doesnt matter how many strains you start with....because it wont be enough...i know....if you have 2 you want 4...if you have 4 you will need 6...................
i dont know why you arent going with 37 different strains...

Would that be like I don't understand why someone would bother responding and not answer my questions?

sorry...guess i didnt understand the questions....my first legal grow will be many many strains..the first year will be one long experiment and then...and only then..would i go down to fewer strains...reason being....even when i have the best tasting great high weed?after 6 weeks i am sick of it.....

as a buyer i could smoke over a hundred different kinds of weed in a year so as a grower i try to keep the same variety or at least as many as possible

    it just makes sinse

I totally understand the idea of experimenting and trying different strains. However, my first priority is to make sure that I get what I need... therefore I want to keep to just a couple of strains that aren't difficult, until I get to where it isn't a huge deal if something doesn't turn out.

I figure having one each of ind/sat, plus a balanced mix, I will be able to work out how much of what type I need...

I just have no clue what to try first for them...

i would stay away from early girl[crap] ..people get sucked in to buying early girl to try and shave time and its always crap

Well, when I decide on what strains I want to try, I will be getting them from an actual seed company that has been around for quite a while precisely because you can never know.

Not being able to know from one day to the next if the weed I get is going to be something that makes my zip or makes me crash, makes it really hard to plan anything... I need to get something that is a bit zoomy in the day and something else that will knock me out at night and in both cases, doesnt set my mind off on a paranoia trip.... lol

It would be awesome to find one strain that did it all, but until then, a couple of pures on either end will let me mix it and test combinations out.. after I get an idea from that what I want, then I can start playing with strains that are close to that.
