my interior design teacher in high school was named dorcas. i think that used to be a fairly common name. (but i think it's funny)

i have heard of people whose last name is gaylord. i can only imagine the drama that would cause you as a kid. (and maybe an adult...)

I would never name my child Engelbert, because I probably will never have children and if I have children I probably get all girls.

i've met an ember youngblood (loved that name) and several misters prettyontop.though the first time someone hears the "prettyontop" name, it tend to decline into amusing descriptive names like "uglyallover" and "bigintheback."

    Orangello (o - RON - je - low)
    and
Lemonjello (lay - MON - je -low)
    Seriously.
The wife was doing a rotation at a local public heath department and met the mother of these two children. The mother just couldn't think of names for them so she decided to name them the first words that popped into her head - Lemon Jello and Orange Jello.

there's a lady here in town who's kids are named Sir and Mister. mister is 6 now, sir is 3. apparently mister decided to drive sir to the store for some candy, they had a car accident, ran the car into a ditch because mister couldn't see over the steering. both are fine now.
