how do you guys feel about stretching piercings? and i dont mean just earlobes, i'm talking about anything that could be stretched. im stretching my lobes and also my labret (hopefully to 00 in one ear, about 1 1/2 inches in other ear, and 00 or larger in my labret) and im also considering getting either my septum or medusa. (not sure which...my pics are in my gallery if you want to suggest one or the other...:coffee but either way it's going to get stretched. i wish i could get my nipples pierced and stretch them, too. i saw a guy at a festival with at least an inch barbell in each nipple. looked rad. i've been looking at videos of tribal people and their stretched lip plates, septum, etc. and i've been thinking about how stretching has come back into our culture (maybe not mainstream, but people weren't stretching (or even piercing) themselves in america 30, 40, 50 years ago. maybe im just a pain junkie or a freak cuz i love the way it looks and feels when im sliding a taper through my skin. what do you guys think about the resurgence of stretching? :xmastree:
Personally I don't like it. but, whatever floats your boat. As long as you are happy with it, go for it.
I think some things look ok and some things look a bit much. For my taste anyway! It's what you like and want. I think lip strecthing is good on a guy up to a certain size. Nipples.. maybe not an inch stretched. Maybe up to 5mm. And ears I love stretched so anysize is good. But if you ever want something you should just do it! When stretching a lot of the time it will shrink back. I stretched my septum 4mm and it shrunk back after about 6months and is a good small size now. Ears will shrink back but not fully. Go ahead and do it all! do it all yourself too.
I prefer thicker gauges to begin with... I had double tongue piercings (one in front of the other) at 10g, but after a few years decided to take the back one out due to gum erosion.. I've since stretched the remaining piercing to a 4g and I plan to go to 2 or 0. I started stretching my lobes from a standard mallstore gun piercing 12 years ago (before it became commonplace.. I was 12, yeah I started early lol)... they have been size 5/8" for the past few years now. When I had snakebites, I stretched them from a 10 to a 6. I also stretched a long dead navel piercing from a 14 to an 8 when I was a teen. I plan on stretching my 6 year old 12g conch to at least a 6g when I have some $$$ to buy new jewelry. I like the way stretched labrets look, as long as it's not saucer-sized to the point that it takes over your entire chin. Maybe up to a 0g or so... If you do go for the medusa, I would keep it at least a few sizes smaller than the labret, for aesthetic's sake.
yea i wouldn't want the upper lip to overpower the lower lip lol. since i'm already stretching the labret, it has been suggested that i just do the septum, which i think i'm going to do. im sure the medusa would feel a lot better at a 0 though
i like the plugs in the labret.. and earsss of course love them... i dont know about the septum tho .. i dont know, you could probably pull it off because piercings suit you... oh and i wouldnt stretch the madussa .. but thats just me.. but do what you feel looks good
I have my nipples at 6g and my Frenum at 6g. I only have my ears at 10g. I like them. Some people have a better time with larger guage piercings, but I am pretty much at my capacity.
I stretched my ears a while ago. 1 ear is at 20mm and the other 12mm. Gonna start stretching them both even then work on getting them to about 25mm.
20 mm must be big... mine are only 8mm now i saw a dude with like the biggest ear stretches evverrr.. gos they were huge, i think they said they were like 36 or somethin crazy like that
Haha. I don't find 20mm that big actually. When I stretched it that big it looked big at the time. But now I'm used to it and think it's a bit small. When I started stretching upwards of 14mm every few mm increase looked dramatically different for a while. If you are creative you can make your own plugs and what not to put in them. Just buy some fimo/polymer clay and get making! It's pretty fun and cheap!
I think stretching is awesome, but only if it's done in a way that suits the person. I've stretched my lobes, helix, septum, lip, lorum and prince albert. They all kick arse.
i know someone who stretched his prince albert himself.. he said it took him 1hr 1/2 . cause it hurt so bad.. ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch
stretched your prince albert??? my oh my! Did you do it for kicks?! I've only stretched my ear, I feel so tame now lol!
Erm, partly, but it was more because it's much more comfortable at a bigger size, much cooler looking, and much more fun. I did my own prince albert originally, and my lorum, and my septum. There's a certain satisfaction to doing your own piercings and stretching.
