well summers coming up and ill be getting a new job somewhere idk yet to bring in some green...so i can buy green. and i already smoke quite a bit, so summer will be no different. i just dont know where to apply. cause i dont wanna get snagged with a drug test and have my parents find out cause i got fired. im 16 btw any suggestions?
Check out landscaping/lawn care jobs (with a legit company not door to door can I mow your lawn type stuff). Its tough work but you make a ton of money for someone your age, and if its with a private company alot of times its under the table so nothing gets taken out for taxes.
You're 16, so I'm sure any fast food restaurant or something that pays minimum wage will hire you. If not, then try to just do some odd jobs for people like mowing grass and stuff.
Are you against the fast food industry? Ask around, but I'm pretty sure most McDonald's, Burger King's, and Dairy Queen's don't test. They wouldn't tell your parents anyway, cause they'd do it at the interview, and then you just say "Oh, I didn't get the job...". I'm in the same boat, though. Trying to find a job. I was looking at Dairy Queen but it doesn't seem like they're gonna call.... I'm also thinking a grocery store might be fun, especially around here, cause it's so chill and slow paced. Also, think about which is more important: atmosphere or money? Cause you can work at some cool, hip little shops or restaurants for nothing or at a big business for more.
Call them, most places won't hire someone who doesn't call back to show they are interested in the job.
do you think a grocery store would test? i know a stoner or two that works at one but idk if their getting someone elses piss or what. it would be hard for me to get piss during the summer
Yeah, i know this HUGE stoner, like, all he ever does is drugs in a sort of sad way, and he works at Food Lion and he told me they didn't test him... and if they didn't test this kid, they won't test you I'm gonna wait till tuesday, cause he said he still had to train some new people so I thought that'd give him time.
theres several food lions by my house. i looked into it on the internet got mixed reviews but ill just have to see how it goes. do you think itll say something about it on the application?
Most likely the application will say something, they dont wanna waste time with the hiring process if the candidate already knows they cant get the job.
yeah i was trying to get a job at kroger im 16 and they drug test, my friend was going to lend me a wizzinator ( i think thats how you spell it idk )
every time i hear "Food Lion" i cant help but think of the huge food contamination outbreak they had in the early 90s i think it was...
most of the time it is on the applications, something to the effect of, "We maintain a drug free environment etc. so we drug test employees" i had like four or five applications that said that on them.
