Do you like to sit or lay in the sun for long periods of time?

Or would you rather sit under the umbrella.. or inside even?

I love laying in the sun - and unfortunately my skin is very sensitive to the sun and I sunburn , but.. it's so good, it makes me feel better throughout the day, and I love drying in the sun after going in the water.

i like running around in the sun, but i get restless if i'm just laying there for a longer time - i'd say anything longer than 30 minutes without getting up and running around

    but the sun is great.

That's the effects of natural vitamin D, Penny. It does feel good. Sunlight is good for depression. :)

I used to tan some when I was younger... anymore... Sitting in the sun now makes me feel physically ill.. I blotch, freckle and burn, so I simply don't do it.
I'll sit in partial shade with sun hitting my arms and legs for fragments of time... But if it's hot and there is no cover, you'll find me indoors.
Besides, I have no desire to change my skin color... I am white...pale... space ghost or a vampire if you want to call me that. :D

vitamin D is indeed very good and I am always happier when I go out in the sun regularly.

I do get more freckly every summer, tho - but I love it :D

I wonder how tan I will be able to get this summer - usually, my maximum is golden.. but.. we'll see! - I definitely would never go tanning in a booth, though.

I like sitting in the sun chatting with friends and drinking. I don't tend to go and sit in the sun in the garden alone, for example. I like playing frisbee or poi or some other fun thing, but tanning is not really a motivation for me, being blessed with lot's of natural melanin.

I love sun exposure. And yes "moderate" sun exposure is very healthy in so many ways. And some will disagree, however sunblock can be bad because it 'blocks' vitamin D too.

Pretty much Like a burn blister expanded over most of your skin.

I load up on sunblock. Ugh last year I spent the entire day laying out on the beach with the child.
The place we were, it wasn't sand - just all teeny tiny sharp shell bits and I couldn't reapply my sunblock ( I managed to rinse the shells off the kid carry her while reapplying it- she doesn't burn easy as me anyway).
I got so burnt, that is no no fun. :(

I usually get bored sunbathing, but laying on the each watching the kid play in the sand , and the waves come is wonderful :cheers2:.

This place. Second thread this week that has made me miss living on the beach

I went to the beach for the weekend.

    It was very enjoyable.

I can't stand sunbathing if I'm not reading a book though.
