supposed turn ons\ways to impress

Discussion in 'Relationships' started by Deleted member 17362, Nov 10, 2005.

  1. I have heard for my entire life that women are impressed by a guy who is funny, can cook, is smart, etc.

now for the love of god what the fuck is with all these lies?

I have a genius I.Q. I understand all sorts of wonderful abstract fields, I know my way around most machines, I figure that pretty much pins down smart

as to cook, I season all my own pans, I have been cooking since I was 8 and unless it's pastry I can make pretty much anything, I can my own fruits and veggies, I have canned soup and I know what pectin is for, I actually know how to use my pressure cooker, my silpat and my double boiler

funny, hell given time and a basic dossier I can make almost any human being on this earth laugh if I really am going for it

so I want to know, why am I now and will I forever be lonely?

is it the bitterness? because I haven't always been bitter, and of course all those bitter arrogant "bad boy" emo motercycler jackasses "who just need to be understood" to the tune of beating the hell out of their girlfriend seem pretty damned bitter too.....

I could continue this rant, but I suspect I will have to restate it a few times and will get to conclude it at that point......

i think you are hilarious :D love your posts..Im surprised that you arent taken, I seriously am....
Dont let it get you down or make you feel like you're going to be alone forever and all that John Hughes mumbojumbo....
I mean, I can see where you are coming from cause it seems that both men and women say they want someone smart, nice, funny, but what they really want is a slut, asshole, or someone with money...
Its pathetic, but you have to know there are people out there that do want that stuff and i know this didnt help a bit and so I will stop typing...

Just make sure you don't end up playign teh "I'm so smart and you aren't" card... a lot of my nerdboy friends in high school ended up doing that and wondering why the hell they couldn't get a date. It's not just sharing knowledge, it's doing it with a sort of uppity attitude. If you're going to talk knowledge/science/etc make sure it's on a subject that the chick is at least somewhat interested in as well. While confidence is a turn on, arrogance is a turn off...

You are only 18 sweetie. The girls you probably date are too young to realize what a great guy you are. Usually young girls are boy crazy. (hell i was when i was a teenager) You are super sweet. Just wait, you'll find a girl who will love you and your humor/cooking.

RE: arrogant "bad boy" emo motercycler jackasses

First of all, emo guys don't ride bikes. They sit around and cry.

Second of all, what she says she really wants and what she really wants are two different things. But that's true of all of us. We all intellectually want to eat healthy, be healthy etc. but many people live on cake and sit around.

The missing part of it is this: what can you do for her? Women want something out of a relationship - at your age it's about getting her beer and a car. Later on it's how good of a job will you do on the housework and how much will you earn?

i went after a smart funny nice guy who cooks and stuff. i guess "reasonably attractive" aughtta fall in there somewhere, though dave's looks grew on me after i fell in deep adoration of his personality. he's better looking now than he was when we first started dating.

That may be your problem. Okay, so you bring home 6 figures and have a beautiful house on the hill. Chances are, you are so work oriented that you forget what you have at home. That's why deep down inside, I am afraid of getting rich. I feel that being broke or just barely getting by keeps me grounded. I feel as though that if I was wealthy, I'd become more of a drone than I already am. That high ass IQ doesn't mean jack shit if you don't have common sense.

Example. I have people in my fam that have high IQs, but ask them to go out front and throw a football, and they look lost.

maybe...since you are only 18, you should consider that you are really young still and just because you don't have someone now doesn't mean you will be alone forever.

plus...since you are 18...it takes awhile for girls this age to notice the good things in life...(the worthwhile guys). so really...you just gotta be patient hun

believe me you definitely wont be alone forever :0)
