Sleeping with the friend was by no means out of vengeance. I agree the phone call afterwards was petty and there are more productive ways in which to express anger, however, I was in a bad mood. Blame it on my inability to let things go so easily. Blame it on the fact that we have not even had the closure we need. Blame in on the fact that the end of our relationship came due to a complete misunderstanding and failure on his part to even discuss the issue. Blame it on the fact that he puts on a complete facade for everyone because he is so afraid of what others might think and he will stop at nothing to make himself look good, even if he has to hurt everyone he, "claims", to care about in the process. Although, none of this matters because it was his compulsive lies that have ruined mutual friendships that him and I have had with others, among many other things that he has done.

Juvenile, yes, but I would hardly call him a grown up in any sense, other than the date on his birth certificate.


Technically, I never called him. It was the friend who had the phone conversation.

 

don't try to rationalize and make up for it, especially with total strangers. it was dirty and lowdown and EVERYONE gets at least one of those in our lives. just run with it. just bookmark the experience in your head, take what you can from it, revel in it for a few weeks, cringe over it in a few years, and move forward.

Honey, the fact is that very little blame can fall on me. During the last few weeks of our relationship, people would report back to me that Mike had told them that I was speaking of ill of them behind their backs. None of the comments they have stated have ever escaped from my lips. The fact is that the man builds himself up by making false accusations against others. Compulsive lying ~ a psychological disorder.

The guy had the nerve to send a letter, via myspace, on Christmas with the old familiar, "We're too different people", after a disagreement over a show on VH1. On the phone he denies it was a break up, turns around the next day and comes to my house to pick up a Christmas another mutual friend had left for him, trying to sweet talk his way in the door with, "Baby, I love you so much". After calling him on his lies, three days later I receive another myspace message stating, "We're through".

Yeah, Baby I love you while our friends now believe that you have been speaking ill of them behind their backs. But yes... I am to blame..
