Hey. My locks are about 6 months along right now. They locked up like a dream and get more personality with every wash. Cant seem to post pics. Just wondering what will happen to em if I start swimmin in the ocean on a daily basis. good, bad? Ive never tried sea salt on em. Guess that might give me an indicater. Still wondering. Guess it doesnt matter anyway cause Im just letting em do their thing. After swimming should I wash em with fresh water or just let em be?
sea water is great for them, just make sure they dry good give them lost of sunshine don't keep them wet in a beanie for too long it promotes mold yadda yadda yadda
swim in the ocean, then rinse with fresh water = very good for my dreads. if you let them stay salty they feel a little funky, but it's not all that bad
swimming in the ocean is great for dreads. i did it nearly every day when my babies were in their first few months. now it's winter and i can't so swim your heart out so i can be jealous.
you could leave the salt water in for a day or so, and then rinse with fresh water. just make sure they have plenty of time to dry. mine take a good 6 or 8 hours to dry, so i don't like to get them wet EVERY day. but yeah, saltwater is soooo good for dreadies!
the ocean does wonderfull things for dreadies. i dont wash the salt water out, but if you notice your hair breaking at all, start washing it out. if you hair is salty all the time it could potentially weaken it. i cant wait for summer! i live on the beach so im gonna be swimming every single fucking day.
i live on the beach in massachusetts right now but in a couple months i'm moving to texas to live with my boy and i don't know what the hell i'm gonna do without the ocean steps from my door. pools are just NOT the same.
I love how my hair feels after when my hair drys after the beach. I try to go down there as often as possible, usually once a week, more if i can.
