I would think that she was a little more well-read than a chick who said Bridget Jones' Diary. I would also imagine that we could possibly have read some of the same books. All other opinions on her character would have to wait until I knew her.
I'm a firm believer that our "favorite books" that we share with others are more of a reflection of how we want to be perceived rather than who we really are, you know? A favorite book or band choice can really alter the way others view us, not really who we are authentically. I'd talk to this girl a bit more before passing any judgement
Good point! Some people have their guilty pleasures in music and literature. Their private favourites that they wouldn't want people to know about. So, what's your favourite book?
Haha, I don't play favorites! But at one point of my life Confessions of a Dangerous Mind was my favorite, then I loved The Doors of Perception and Heaven and Hell, and I love Kerouac, and I love trashy romance novels, I love Deepak Chopra and Thich Nhat Hahn, just anything that grabs my attention and changes my perception, I love.
I haven't actually read a lot of what you listed but I suppose my real favourites would incude Steppenwolf(or most books by Hesse), Island(and a few others by Huxley, including Doors of...) and a recent novel that I thoroughly enjoyed The Book Thief(Markus ) I don't really have guilty pleasures in literature I suppose, but in music, there's this one Brittany Spears song.
