Does anyone here do tattoo art? I was actually presented with the chance to apprentice with a tattoo artist, but I don't know if I could do it as I can't readilly do art with much eclat.

I've never done it, but if your interested in it, you should look into Ed Hardy. Hes from Miami i think, and he makes his tatto designs on clothes. They're really aweseome looking. Highly expensive though, saw a bikini where each piece cost $150.

If your into tattos its really cool shit.

Don Ed Hardy is from San Fran, If your willing to do what it takes to learn how to draw than its worth it, but learning to draw is a big investment and tattooing will keep you honest because you cant bullshit it ,because its unforgiving, and if your not prepared it will show.

Yeah, that's why I decided against it. I'll find my niche one day as long as opportunities continue here in the good ol' USA. What state just got in the news for banning tattooing or trying too? Not a good place to open a new business.

up until recently, tattooing was banned from Oklahoma. Crazy shit, imho.

I think tattoo art is one of the most beautiful art forms there is. Meddle is absolutely right, it is unforgiving and I've seen a lot of botched tattoo jobs and lemme tell ya... Thank the universe for cover ups, lol.

I draw and do some painting, but the tattoo industry is a really intimidating one and you really have to work your ass off to make the good money. If you want to be a tattoo artist to be famous like those ninnies on TV, you're in it for the wrong purpose (not to say you specifically, but just a "you" in general). It's still an art and should be appreciated as one.
