yup...slapping works, another thing that works (makes a bit of a mess, but works), is when you have the medicine on your tat (usually A&D), take some ash (pure ash, not with old butts sitting around it, or blunts, etc), and put slap it on there. Learned it from an old hippy friend of mine..works wonders
the tattoo on my calf was done poorly (he put the needle all the way in my skin, not just to the second layer as you are supposed to), and it was a tough healing time....the ash did me wonders.

    hope that helps

and remember, nomatter what you do...do NOT itch or peel or pick at it.
i did that to another tattoo.....have to get it redone.....

just dont scratch it, cuz the scabs will cum off and u could possibly have a scar and a place where there is no ink .

^^^pretty much the way of it.

I never knew something could itch so bad you wanted to kill yourself until I started getting tattoos. IMHO, its worse than the pain.

Slapping is better than scratching, but not great. Try not to do it if at all possible. Lotions help. I've also fouund that lyying on the tattoo helps stop the itch.

Really, though, its just part of the game and passes in time.
