Well I'm a tattoo virgin and I'm really serious about getting one finally. I'm in a transitional period of my life and it seems like an ideal time to do it up. I was looking for some people's input on here.. 1st, how do copy write laws work with tattoos? If I found a design that I like online would the artist have to change them up a lot? or would they be able to just stencil that design? 2nd. The actual tattoo idea itself.. I'm looking for some ideas. I want a tattoo that represents balance/harmony/moderation..These are all things that are important to me in living my life..I'm looking for symbols or ideas that represent these ideas (and not overly-common symbols like ying yangs and such, I want something original)... Any input would be great. Obviously, I would end up personalizing it, but I'm trying to come up with some sort of symbol or concept to build around..
I once had a dream of getting a tattoo resembling a house of cards, with the joker torching it from within his card. the other cards would carry meanings (one a flag, one an astro symbol, a tarot card somewhere in the mix) however, i realized it would cost several hundred dollars and require much for space then i planned. so i abandoned the idea
