I would protest for the teachers' salaries in my country! They never get much money! And I believe education is important. It is so unfair. And I will soon become a teacher myself! All my relatives ask this stupid question about low teachers' salaries, and say they're sorry about me getting low salary. It's not fair. Some people get more money than teachers for simply wiping the floor in a bank. Something should be done about this.
yes, teacher's salaries should be way higher, but it won't happen in the USA because people would not vote for higher taxes. I'm sure this is the similar reason in Romania. In the USA there are some states that reinburse teacher's tuition as long as you work in that state for 3 years. We teach because we love to teach, not because of what we get paid, but i know it does piss me off that some lower qualified job positions get higher saleries than we do!
I think they make more than police officers, who probably risk their life a little more. But not that I'm against higher salaries for teachers, it's a VERY respectful profession, but that would probably be a lot of taxes.
