I was talking with a jewish friend of mine a while back about religion, to learn that she was almost led into satanism. Not LaVeyanism (worship of human nature and sorts) but actual devil-worship. This is what she told me (paraphrased): "I was almost suckered into satanism by a friend, actually. He came off friendly at first teaching me how to live my life and what to follow. He made God look like some sort of oppressive government figure and the devil look friendly. One day he told me it was time, that if I wanted to continue learning then I had to evoke him [the devil] that day. He taught me an incantation and I went up to my room, locked the door and started saying the words. As I said them, the whole room got darker - one corner of the room seemed to get especially dark, and the temperature dropped to what felt like a winter night. Mind you this was a day in summer. However, halfway through the incantation I stopped. Something stopped me, from nowhere I heard the words in Hebrew which a Jew is supposed to say at their death: Sh'ma Yisrael Adonai Elohaynu Adonai Echad. Hear, Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One. I looked around, and stopped. This is wrong I said, I've been worshipping God my whole life and now I am turning my back on Him. I called up my friend to tell him I wouldn't recite the incantation, and he swore at me several over the phone, threatening me but I knew I wouldn't follow turn my back on God again" This is all real, folks. I'm not making this up.
God wont, Jesus won't, but satan does on demand. Funny that. Seems that there's a satan, but not a god who answers prayer.
seems like with the extremely hot summers we've been having here lately, satanism is a good alternative to air conditioners
How strange......i wonder why God was so scared of what the devil might have said that He felt He had to actually intervene?
Losing the person what to? The Devil has no power over God.....that's already been proven....the devil can't offer anything that God cannot grant (if He so wishes)...at least, as far as I'm aware he can't. Seems to me that a God that would interfere, obviously has very little faith in human's ability to make their own decisions...
Nope he doesnt have power, however he can lead people into using their power the wrong way. To make decisions against God, and apparently she wouldve done just that. And i dont think its a lack of faith, but the knowledge that she was too confused to make the right decision without some extra help.
The right decision? Only right from God's perspective I think Jesus was left alone to mentally wrestle with the Devil in the desert.....strange that God doesn't treat everyone the same. Interesting tho'.....but then, i've felt for a long time that God is less a shepard of men, and more their jailer
What would be the point of God if He doesnt know best? He'd be human. And not everyone needs the same treatment.
Seriously? What was the incantation! I'll be more than happy to bike over to Libertine's place and raise the devil.
Well, obviously, she didn't recite it infront of me. Did she still know it? Possibly. I'm not going to ask.
would you at least ask her if she's willing to tell us?....we are talking about a woman who knows a way to provide definite proof of the existance of the Devil here......a billion christians and about 4 billion others could quite easily find answers that they may spend the rest of their natural lives asking questions to .....your friend could literally change the world, forever
Nevermind it, she has forgotten it. Search it up, perhaps. If you get the devil, ask him to pose for a picture. That would be pretty static proof dontcha think? Edit) Don't take that literally. There are forces outside mankind that shouldn't be messed with.
Evoking the incredibly dangerous, ultimate evil into your presence isn't something you want to remember
Really? To show the entire world that God is real............to give positive hope of eternal salvation.....to actually allow people to know that there is a point to their whole existance.....and it isn't something you want to remember....how odd.
