Since Irans the only country of the three that could possibly have nukes within the next ten years, that doesn't seem likely. If Tehran was swept, the whole country would fall, Iran is completly dependant on the ayatollah. But hey, why not just ignore the issue? Then Iran can have nukes and bomb Israel... invasion might not be nessacary, but inaction isn't an option.
Take a trip back with me, won't you, to February of 2004. Nuke inspectors found Iran's blueprints for an advanced centrifuge design that it had "magically neglected" to show the inspectors the first couple times around. What exactly IS an advanced cntrifuge design, you ask? Well, I'll be damned if it isn't a uranium enrichment design. And I ask myself... Why would Iran hide plans for uranium enrichment from the U.N. weapons inspectors? So Iran says "but...but... it's for a complete nuclear fuel cycle to support a civilian energy program!! really!", but curiosly, the same fuel cycle is also applicable to a nuclear weapons development program. Fuggin' curious. Taking a quick gander at where it's nuclear sites ARE, Iran appears to have spread their nuclear activities around a number of sites to reduce the risk of detection or attack. Thse little bits of info worry me a bit. That doesn't bother you?
Yes it does worry me, thats why some actions need to be taken, I dunno about military, but certainly diplomatic, of course we already tried that in the 90's with North Korea and found out they were working on their nuclear program the entire time. Now they've admitted to having nuclear weapons. But at least the north Korean government is fairly stable, but Irans a differnet story, Ayatollah Khamenei is in poor health, and theres no telling what will happen after his death, if Iran were to collapse after it had aquired nuclear weapons, the results could be disasterous.
I was an extreme anti-bush dude for a long time but recently have become copasetic with the potentiality that however stupid, fucked-up and lucked-out rich he is, he may be ultimately doing things that will be good for the country. Doubtful but who knows. The future is somewhat in doubt anyway.
I agree. Since the election, he's been doing a better job of solving problems in a way that is fairly beneficial to the country. But the thought that he caused all the problems in the first place keeps piquing my brain. Haha. Fucking politics. Ya just can't win when everybody's a crook.
I'm not a Bush fan, but comeon, Bush didn't start all this... this has been brewing since the 60's... Bush is just a catalyst.
