THC is soluble in water at 2.8 mg/L. If you can dissolve pure THC into pure dihydrogen monoxide under perfectly ideal conditions, then drinking a litre of tea might be enough to stimulate your appetite at best. If you are feeling any effects from drinking cannabis tea it's most likely placebo.
I smoked a little before drinking it; perhaps it increased what already was. The interesting thing was that when it kicked in halfway through the teacup I could not stop laughing and I could not wipe that stoned grin off my face no matter what I did. After I was able to contol the laughter I looked around the room and could feel myself tripping very mildly. When I smoke, generaly neither of the above occurs anymore. My friend who drank some of the tea with me but did not smoke before hand felt the same effects as me. When he felt the effects coming on, he kinda freaked out and decided to not go any further into the trip. After he decided he would rather stay in reality than accend to wherever his mind was taking him, my mind leveled off and stayed at his level. My friend generally gets contact highs from hanging around me, so it was not really surprising he caught on. The following day, I woke up and I still felt a bit loopy.
I have a feeling I'll be waking up loopy for a day or two, smoked quite a bit. Thursday was the 420 Pre-Game, Friday was obviously 420, Saturday was the 420 Post-Game, and Sunday (today) was the 420 Weekend Wind-Down. My brain is soup. Good Night all
Well, hydrogen hydroxide (water) while a solvent is only a vehicle for the separation. Oils are non-polar and water doesn't really do anything for it unlike booze and salts.
Water is actually properly called dihydrogen monoxide, as I stated in my previous post, if you are properly following the chemical nomenclature rules for the Greek prefixing of binary covalent compounds with two nonmetals. I don't really understand what it is you're trying to say in the latter part of your statement, though...
hydrogen hydroxide appears to be the most appropriate due to natural disassociation to hydrogen and hydroxide ions. drinking thc should not hit you mid cup, it should hit you at least like 15 - 20 minutes after you drink the tea, unless youve got an absolutely empty, and naturally small, stomach
Eh, not in any lab I've ever been in, maybe in high school classes. I've worked in a lab as an assistant and heard it either called water, H2O, or DHMO.
There are rules for the nomenclature of chemicals, when there's a binary compound consisting of two nonmetals the proper way is to use Greek prefixes relative to its empirical formula. Other names are still very valid but technically DHMO is the most correct. I mean, hydric acid is also a name for water and we all know water's not exactly acid.
That is why I asked since that is what I thought as well. Several days later I tried to recreate my experience without smoking prior to the tea and it did not work.
Yeah, I guess it has it's application in titration and ionization and such, but anything empirical DHMO.
High school In practice its called water (you can add RO, DI or whatever prefix you prefer). The other names are for those who like to impress themselves. I used to be a stickler as well, especially for organics, but realized through continual "huhs?" the points weren't coming across and in the end I was just busting my own balls Its all good.
