The 4th was on the Friday, so I guess I celebrated it with beer, rock and roll music and video games. The more I think about it, the more I think I did good. :cheers2:
Well I got absolutely hammered down the pub. I only realised this when I started walking up the hill and found myself weaving all over the road. Had to stop for a fag break half way up
Went to my little sister's summer fayre and watched her doing random cheerleading with her friends. And won a worm thingy.
I took Fay for a night out with the tribe. Went to a charity gig and saw a jazz trio called The Jumblebox Consortium. two guitars and a saxaphone followed by a Samba band, then an hour and half set from Lazy... all rounded off with a DJ playing till 2:00. Didn't stay that late with a child in tow though we did manage till 1:00 and we won two raffle prizes. Not drunk because of driving but tired through dancing, didn't realise it was the 4th though.
yeah. we went to our friends' house at the sac, there's a whole cul de sac filled with friends, handy. but anyhoo, this is northern colorado. basically that means everyone gets drunk and drives up the side of a mountain and decides it's a great idea to hike up the side of a mountain in the dark to watch fireworks. we weren't drunk, and we had out children, so we decided not to follow them up the side of the stupid hill. i mean, honestly, what a buncha hippies.
I went to my sister graduation, went to see and African band calle Albert Nyathi and the following day I went to see The Peth fronted by Rhys Ifans in Llanddewi Brefi!!!
Me and some friends, went out to a field at the edge of town, and found ourself a little spot on the top of a hill where we could see the whole horizon, we had a fire and watched fireworks.
By rights we should have got the day off cos the place I work for's owner by the Americans, but no, bahhhh :toetap05:
American barnacle, eh mate?? Don't be mad that we kicked your ass (sorry, arse.), mate. You wish you could still govern, and tax, us. Pomey bastard. :cheers2: Oh, and by the way, on the fourth, I went to memphis to visit me mum and gran and we went to graceland to see Elvis's house. Good show.
i'm american, dork. in fact, i lived in memphis for a while. well, a suburb. my dad lives in atoka-idaville. :cheers2: i never saw graceland, though. the only thing i did that year was see the pink palace museum. that was fun.
Well, as American as you are, I think we all agree you're more than welcome as an honorary member of the UK Forums. :cheers2: Yeah, now you mention it, I'd feel insulted too
i shall raise a cup of Freedom Bag Juice to you, power 13. (that's tea, for those of you across the pond)
Ahh, well . . . um from the nature of the comment made to start this thread, it is easily assumed that you are english. Someone mentioned above that you are from CO. True? Umm, right well, sorry about that.
