The art project pipe.

Well in art class were making boxes out of clay and so i thought cool ill stick my pipe and weed in there, well my teacher had a stack of clay bricks to mold with so i took one to make something out of it.

Can you make a pipe out of clay that's just been hardend?
Is it safe?

i've smoked out of a clay pipe once before. sure you can make a pipe out of pretty much anything. i wouldn't recommend it...there's probably something in there that's not so good for your health. i dunno specifics...

 

I made a two man bong out of clay but it hasn't been fired yet. This way I can go buy a glass bowl and put the weed in that and just stick the bowl in the bong.

I personally wouldn't try smoking out of it unless it had been fired to bisque ware. Smoking out of just some bone dry clay could be hazardous but I dunno for sure.

 

if they say not to eat off clay that hasn't been fired and glazed with food safe glaze, i wouldn't smoke out of it either. do you really want to be inhaling all those toxic clay substances? blech.

I remember my friend was gonna make a pipe out of clay but he did'nt becuase someone told him that clay is a mould or has some mould in it and is'nt safe to smoke out of

 

Clay is a part of dirt, bruh.

how's this bong gonna work? like where's the hole for the stem? is it meant to be used by two people, or are you gonna put the bowl in one of those mouthpiece holes?

also, how did you make that and plan on firing it without your teacher knowing? (it looks like it's in a classroom)

 

if you look in the middle there's a hole for the bowl, and i guess that's why he made it a two person bong so it wouldn't stand out as a bong

 

lol i did the same thing, my friend was in pottery and she took a bunch of clay and we made the craziest pipes and such out of them.

we didn't get it fired though because they looked too much like bowls.

so far, no health problems have arose. no funky taste or smell or anything, just make sure the clay is dry before you smoke out of it

ceramics clay contains silica. which inhaled, is very very bad for you. hence, i do NOT recommend smoking off an unfired, unglazed pipe.

the double person bong is cool though. post pics when you get it fired and glazed... it's gonna be pretty.

clay isn't soil. it's a mineral that contains silica, which is baaaaaad to inhale. it's called silicosis, and it will fuck up your lungs.

There isn't a hole for the bowl yet, that would be too obvious, but if you look where the Circle is on the bottom of the bong where a bowl would go, in the middle of that circle I did put a hole there and put a very, very thin peice of clay over it so after its fired I won't run a risk of cracking the whole damn thing when putting a hole in it. It is meant to be used by two people, that's why I called it a two man bong. I told my teacher it's an organic vase, but it doesn't really matter cause the real teacher is never in there because we have this lady who's training to become an art teacher and has to do a certain number of hours in a real classroom first and I talk about smokin weed with her every day so she's cool with it.

 

all the clay pipes i tried to make got broken. by my teacher. lol. clay is especially good for making roach holders. as far as i know safe, but tougher to clean than smooth glass. make sure to only glaze the outside.
i woiuld not recommend smoking out of an unfired piece. it would not hold up, and then you would surely get a dirty grit in your throat, and the mouth end would start to dissolve in your spit, turning to mud (slip)
