People have a lot of misconceptions about the Bible, including the New Testament. First of all, they were allegedly written 40 years after Jesus' death. That's a long time, especially at a time when most people only lived to 40. And the ancient Hebrews and ancient Egyptians never met. No they didn't, or there'd be something about it on the walls of the pyramids at least. (Actually I recently read that most of the Bible appears to be rewritten around the time of Tyndale Bible. I was always taught the first non-native version of the Bible was the Latin Vulgate of St. Jerome in the fourth century. But not so some people say. Because only the educated elite could actually read it.)

But anyways, I wanted to tell you a little bit about the Beast mentioned in the Book of Revelation by John of Patmos. Or what I remember from an article I read in a science magazine in the late 80s. First of all the Beast is probably a political figure, not some supernatural entity like in the 1976 movie The Omen. And his name only comes out as three sixes in the Arabic number system. The article I read said the author is obviously telling his readers to transcribe the letters from the Hebrew alphabet into a number, 666. The Hebrew alphabet, like the Roman, can be transcribed into numbers too.

Anyways, I won't bother to do it for you. But I still remember. The Hebrew alphabet doesn't have vowels. And, to cut to the chase, he must mean the Roman emperor Nero Caesar. Now in Hebrew there is an N in Nero Caesar's name. Thus it is really "Neron Caesar". So if you take the all the consonants, assign them their numerical value in the Hebrew alphabet thus:

    N
    R
    N
    C
    S
    R

you should get the number 666. IOW six hundred and sixty-six. I won't do the math because I am busy now. But I still remember, it should add up if you do it right.
