Fair play to them, they did put on quite a spectacular show. I particularly liked the globe with all the people running round it at different angles and the skyscrapers made to look like candles swaying in the wind.

All of it doesn't stop Chinese government from being a bunch of corrupt torturing polluting nazi cunts though, but at least its a progress.

I'd rather go and see a good band play and get blazed and dance to my own internal rhythm anyday than go and see this kind of thing, or even an eclipse.

Yes I saw some tibetan people getting carried away in vans, but I think it was probably all part of the show, they probably wont show the real oppressive shit.

 

I loved that guy with the Tibetan flag painted on his forehead, it looked really fucking great, I reckon there'll be folks wearing t-shirts with that image in years to come, like some symbol of anti-repression.

I have to say I'm surprised at the vitriolic sentiment against the Chinese that the Olympics are making apparent.

I know the western media has been working all angles since the Chinese has become a medium-term economic threat. Even that of pollution, which coming from the West is just laughable.

But I never thought it'd be this bad.

Most of the intolerance seems to come from self-proclaimed liberals too, which is weird.
