The brown chicken of doom

catchy title eh?

anyways my best friend gota job at browns chicken, and worked a lot and we estimated his pay check to be about 300 (before taxes) anyways the day before payday the owner comes in and says 'your doing a good job just a few simple beginner mistakes" and my friend explains how he has a learning disability (he over exagerated, he just learns a lot slower then most people)

an hour later hes fired and no reason is given.

his paycheck ended up being 146, they said the first 20 hours he worked he wouldnt get paid for because its training (anotherf riend works there and is getting paid for her training)

i think he should sue but he says he might just get the store closed by taking it up with browns chickens corporate people.

 

they can't tell you after the fact that you aren't getting paid for time you're supposed to get paid for, can they? I think it's illegal here at least.

 

did you read the thread i made about my paycheck? maybe ill get a job there since you live near me haha...not trying to be insensitive, but yeah...that bites kiddo.

He should sue them, sounds like it would be easy...they'd probably even settle out of court.

I wish I was a lawyer, I would love putting the place out of business and make a slow kid rich

 

there is a beautiful poetry to it. i know in most states that on the job training must be paid.

 

yea i know, its not like browns is doing that good anymore, he wouldnt have to pay for a really crazy good lawyer, just a really good one.

 

wouldn't it be awesome to be a lawyer...getting people so pissed off that they come after you with a gun, then you get them arrested

 

i would have he/she call the labor board, and file a complaint. they take it from there.

 

Why'd he tell them he has a learning disability? Was he looking for sympathy or something?

 

getting fired from that greasy hell hole was probably a blessing - anyway, tell your friend to call Brown's corporate office and report the incident - and even add some shit -- say the manager called him racial slurs and tried grabbing his ass all the time, or whatever other malicious lies you can think up

 

thats bullsht. a restaurant cant make you work for 20 hours and not pay you. tell them to give you your damn money

 

he said hes gonna take it up with the corporate office thing.

i found this kinda funny, a HUGE percentage of customers request special hotdogs, like the muslim equivilent of a kosher hotdog, and browns says they give it to them but doesnt. he wants to tell lots of people that and make browns lose all their business, and i thinkt hatd be hilarious.
