I found the ideas delightfully appealing, but believe them to be silly from a factual/scientific perspective. Like religion- it's so beautiful, but we know deep down it's all BS. But nothing wrong with playing or pretending, it's a basic human character. In my view, though, the author didn't do enough with the plot and the characters, so it was just not very entertaining to read, at least for me.
