    Brightest Blessings Y'all,

As it is April and Spring has sprung here in N E Texas, I have been able to get my hands on all the Dandelion I want. Blessed Be.
Why am I gathering Dandelion Roots you ask, well I'll tell you. In my search for knowledge (healing knowledge) I came across some imformation on Dandelion and I have been experimenting with it.
My first experiment was with the bright yellow flowers of the Dandelion. I plucked several of the flower heads off the stems ( maybe 30 or so) and put them in a crock and poured boiling water over them. I let the flowers steep for 20 minutes and removed the flowers from the liquid(saving the liquid) to cool. When cooled I placed the flowers on my face and neck and laid back for 20 minutes with the flowers in place around the troubled spots. After the 20 minutes I washed the flowers from my face with the liquid and let dry.
I went to bed with the dandelion still on my face and neck dried. I awoke the next morning to a smooth clear complextion. My skin was tight and wrinkles had disapeared. I had some hard bumps that had now disolved. My pores shrunk and I had a pink glow.
My friends said I look ten years younger and I must agree with them. WOW.
The next experiment was yesterday, with the dandelion root.
I dug deep around the dandelion plant as to not break off the root(it's like a small carrott).I took the root and washed it and put in in the blender for a few seconds. I then took the pulverized root and placed that on my freshly washed face and left it on for 20 minutes.
The results are as follows: My skin has tightened up about 1/2 an inch around my 'jowls' and in the hollow of my cheeks, my eyelids have lost their puffiness and my 'crows feet' seem to be less notisable. My lips are smoothier and moist.wow. The lines above my upper lip have smoothed out also. Some scars are also starting to disolve. Again WoW.
I wish my webcam worked so I could show you the results. Lightening took it out last year along with my motem. I worked on it all day one day last week and I haven't been able to acess it.( ohh bother).
At any rate I thought I would share this with you, it's free and easy to do and most important IT WORKS!! WOOHOOO.. Y'all try it you'll LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Blessed Be

That's pretty cool. I'll have to try that once the snow goes away! Do you eat the dandelion greens? I have a good recipe for that if you would like it. I substitute the greens for spinach when they're not in season.

    Peace & Love

I'm tempted to try this, but I'll have to wait until the snow melts.

    Here's the recipe:

Pasta with Dandelion, Garlic, and Tomatoes

    Makes 4 servings

    1 pound fresh dandelion greens
    1/2 pound pasta
    1/4 cup olive oil
    3 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound peeled fresh tomatoes or one
    16-ounce can stewed tomatoes
Romano or Parmesan cheese, grated, to taste
    Hot pepper flakes, to taste
    Salt, to taste

    1. In a large pot of salted water, boil the dandelion greens until they're almost tender. Add the pasta to the pot and cook until done.

    2. In a skillet, sauté the garlic in the oil until it's lightly colored. Add the tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes.

    3. Drain the pasta and dandelions; spoon the tomato sauce on top. Sprinkle with the cheese, hot pepper flakes, and salt to taste.

I love this recipe. I hope you enjoy it too. Like I said, you can substitute spinach for the dandelion greens when necessary.

    Peace & Love

Never tried the dandelion wine. How is it made? Hopefully I can make some from the yard. My boyfriend's mower is broke and it's still grown up from last fall.

    Peace & Love

i dunno things are made by experimenting!
can't be too hard ;) let it sit around for a while in some mashed up grapes hmmmmm then strain the lil buggers out after a few weeks or months perhaps.
    then drink and be merry
hey all yall who try this facelift thing don't forget to come back and share your conclusions!

I have a recipe for Dandelion wine! ~

    2 quarts flower heads
    3 lb sugar
    1/2 oz yeast
    1 orange
    1 lemon
    1 gallon boiling water
    1 piece toast

Wash flowers well. Thinly slice lemon & orange ~ add to the flowers. Pour 1 gallon boiling water over mixture. Mix well, cover & let stand 10 days.

After 10 days strain liquid . Stir in sugar. Spread yeast on slice of toast & float on top. Cover and let stand 3 more days. After 3 days remove toast, bottle, rebottle.

    * good fresh ; wil imorove with age....

It's cheap easy and good! And the facelift thing I will definately try ~ thanks!

shit i have em cuz i'm stressed out most of the time and laugh the rest of the time. also my skin gets really dry sometimes but when i use any kind of lotion or oil or relaly, nothing works. makes it far worse! i use nothing except tea tree oil glycerin free soap and my skin is relativley radiant and my lips are not chapped and it's cold out a lot and electric heat=dry.
but every once in a while i feel there is a need to totally exfoliate and purify the skin because of all the toxins in the air everywhere aging the pyramids and such moments of time now faster and alarming rates. bad bad stuff....dandeliinns are obviously immune to poisen. they are beautiful to me and i smile when i see them smiling in the average persons face trying futilely to erradicate them. they are the answer for a peasant like me!
but yeah, i think it's way better to look 24, and not 14 LOL i know what you're sayin i was jokin ;)
