The Devil's Creation: Blue Buddha

Recently, I had a terrifying experience from a pill of ecstasy. The pill in question was a ‘blue Buddha.’ I had eaten one from the same batch before and experienced a nice, clean roll. This time around, my roll was relatively weak. And as it tapered off, I smoked a bowl with weed; the same weed I’d been smoking all summer.

This is where the nightmare starts. I feel good. Though I feel as though I’m on the onset of a mushroom trip. Thoughts are scattered. Bizarre. Typical psychedelic state of mind. I begin writing nonstop for hours and the trip worsens. A schizophrenia that has been dormant my entire life is coming out. The computer screen is drifting away from me, and the buttons on the keyboard are popping out at all angles, so typing is incredibly difficult. I hallucinate noises. Then I experience what I would describe as ego-death. I had never felt a more instinctual sense of death. I write my last words on my computer, and black out. I awake several hours later, fine, I suppose. Totally mind-fucked. Confused. Then I realize my heart is beating RAPIDLY. I feel like my ears are bleeding. So hot. Everything is tracing. Everything is echoing. My vision is like wearing a pair of those red and blue 3D glasses. I’m scared. I go to work, and go absolutely psychotic and have to leave work. My panic attack only subsides when given a half pill of Xanax from my mother. Afterwards, I sleep for 21 hours.

I can’t stress enough how terrifying this experience was, and it absolutely baffles me that a single pill of ‘ecstasy’ could do this to me.

I can’t put my finger on what chemical was in the pill. At first I was thinking Methylone…but my experience seemed too intense for this RC. I’ve heard of a blue Buddha batch made with LSD, but visuals were too lacking, and the actual psychedelic part lasted a mere 6 hours at most, as opposed to a typical day-long acid trip. I can only describe this experience as one long mentally psychotic episode.

I know; these posts are annoying. I don’t care. I’m baffled and confused and scared. I’m seeing a therapist now. Please refrain from telling me to shut the fuck up. I haven’t told anyone about this, (at least not that this episode was drug induced). I hope someone can share their experiences and knowledge of drugs with me. This will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. And please understand that after 50 hours, I’m still in a slightly altered state of mind, and I have not reached rational thinking just yet.

how many hours after you took the pill went by before the intense shit started to happen?

 

I would say...the roll started to taper off at about 2 1/2 hours...and I smoked the bowl to bring the effects of the pill back. The following hour, the effects became stonger and stronger...I was in a state of total psychosis approximately 4 hours after initial ingestion?

I'm hesitant to say the pill had LSD in it, simply because the experience was too unpleasant, and visuals were even weaker than a typical mushroom trip. But really, hard to say.

the timing suggests that if there was another chemical in the pill it couldve been a DOx compound (DOB, DOC, DOI, DOM)... they are all said to have "dark" tendencies and generally start to take effect 2.5-3 hours after ingestion, and large doses tend to cause really bad trips

thats just a guess tho

 

the DOx compounds cause trips lasting much longer than lsd.

Have you ever had a panic attack before?

 

also, fwiw—i've been reading about the buddha pills a lot in the past few weeks, since my friend just got a bunch of reds and greens. seems like the vast majority are legit and pretty good, although i have seen some reports of counterfeits (with a slightly different press) that ended up being meth bombs.

in short, i have a feeling that the drug experience was probably a trigger to a state of extreme anxiety rather than being a direct cause for your problems. if you think it was instead an adulterated pill, you should do some research on different kind of pill adulterants to see which fits best. there's really a pretty narrow range of chemicals that make it into ecstasy style pills very commonly. possibilities off the top of my head: mda, meth, speed, bzp

 

Actually now that I think of it, reminds me of 2c-e. Was sold that once under the guise of molly, felt like a roll for awhile and then out of nowhere the world melted into slippery pixels.

I've had panic/anxiety attacks before and have mild schizophrenia/psychotic depression - take your pick. So psychedelics are hard for me to enjoy in the first place... but I've researching a bit and the effects sound similiar to the RC's DOM or DOB. The actual trip lasted maybe 4 hours... And there definitely was (Meth)Amphetamines in the pill...I'm assuming. Ya know, at this point, I think there was NO MDMA, MDA, or even MDE in this horrid pill.

Grrr. Bring back the days when ecstasy was just a pill full of magic! And curse the guy who invented meth.

Also, interesting comment about the pill being a trigger for this psychosis, rather than creating it entirely. Just another reminder to always be aware of your mindset before indulging in drugs! Something I probably could have paid a bit more attention to that night...

 

you said the "trippy" part of the experience was shorter than acid—the DOx chemicals last a lot longer than acid (not to mention that they are more or less equally visual).

I would definitely say that the psychosis or what-have-you was not an effect of the drug itself, but triggered by the experience. I've had similar things happen coming down from acid and mushrooms: late in the trip (like hour 5 or 6 on mushrooms, hour like 7 on acid), I'll start having panic attacks, I'll start tripping (or whatever) really hard and i basically have to just ride it out. Not as extended as your experience, but similar. I notice you said the bad symptoms started after you smoked weed—when I'm having severe anxiety during a trip, most of the time weed was the trigger. Not to say it happens every time (I love smoking and tripping or smoking and rolling), but it definitely stems from the marijuana when it happens.

doesnt sound fun at all man, but ive had a good experience with buddhas but the name of the pill doesnt really mean its going to be legit.

Maybe PMA? It's possible to enjoy it once, and then not the next time...

Are you sure it was from the same batch you had last time? Because they are a copycat batch of blue and red buddhas going around right now.

Or maybe you got one with a lil too much meth. People might not think theres meth in them but there is. You just have to test the right part of the pill to find it.

I've had all the batches of Buddhas(pink, red, orange, blue, yellow, peach, grey, purple, green) and nothing like thats ever happpened to me.

 

I had a verrry similar experience with a blue decepticon! Very much like a bad acid trip- full-on hallucinations, feelings like I was out of touch with reality and maybe losing my mind, weird open- and closed-eye visuals...not fun.

 

Maybe it was cut with DXM.

 

Id vote DOx based on the fact that a "second drug" seemed to begin at the 3-4 hour point.

Sounds like MDA, or Ketamine/DXM.

Those are the three most common additives in pills, well trippy wise anyways, obviously Meth/Caffeine are the most common.

It wasn't acid, nor was it PMA.

Acid is never put onto pills, unless someone wants to lost money and give someone a free trip. And PMA doesn't give those type of effects that you gave...not only that, if a pill had PMA it would be blasted all over the pill sites because people would have died from them already.
