Trump shows his love of fraudsters by pardoning them.

Trump Has a Favorite Type of Criminal to Pardon. It’s Obvious Once You See It.

    excerpt:

"Trump, however, has embraced fraudsters and white-collar criminals in a historic way. Right now, the president is on a run of pardoning financial crooks the likes of which we’ve never seen before. Trump is to this breed of criminal right now what Jeremy Lin was to the NBA in winter 2012. Shohei Ohtani is setting new standards for a multitalented MLB player, but Ohtani is no more of a unicorn in baseball than Trump is, this very moment, in the realm of letting fraudsters and scammers off the legal hook.

Already this year, according to the DOJ’s count, Trump has pardoned or commuted the sentences of 16 people or companies who were guilty of fraud. Trump’s first pardons were to a bunch of Jan. 6 rioters on the day of his inauguration, but his next one was to Ross Ulbricht, the Silk Road founder, fraudster, and money-laundering conspirator who was a crypto cause célèbre. He pardoned Rod Blagojevich, who went down on eight counts of wire fraud, among other charges. He pardoned a Republican donor who defrauded investors in his electric truck company. He commuted the prison sentence of a media criminal and bullshitter who impersonated a YouTube executive to fool Goldman Sachs into giving him money. He just commuted the sentence of George Santos, who defrauded an elderly veteran who will no longer be owed hundreds of thousands of dollars in restitution. And now he has pardoned Zhao, paving the way for his business associate to get back to his old perch."

The American public, including the farmers, voted a corporatocracy back into office in 2024.

This is what they should have expected.

Leavitt says trump can destroy entire White House if he wants.

Karoline Leavitt Says Trump Can Destroy Entire White House if He Wants | The New Republic

    excerpt:

But the Trump administration’s rationale for bulldozing past presidential precedent and public expectation also flagrantly ignores the fact that any significant project on the White House grounds, such as tearing down walls or new construction, requires congressional approval and a lengthy approval process to proceed.

The destruction is a far cry from what Trump had proposed when he first floated the idea of constructing a ballroom on the White House grounds. During the initial announcement in July, Trump claimed that his project “won’t interfere with the current building. It won’t be. It’ll be near it but not touching it.”

Trump cancels trade talks with Canada because of TV ads he doesn't like.

Trump dementia fears as he cancels trade talks in TV ad tantrum

    excerpt:

"The Ronald Reagan Foundation has just announced that Canada has fraudulently used an advertisement, which is FAKE, featuring Ronald Reagan speaking negatively about Tariffs. The ad was for $75,000,000. They only did this to interfere with the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court, and other courts," the president raged.

The advert featured real excerpts from a 1987 radio address by Reagan. Trump continued ranting: "TARIFFS ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO THE NATIONAL SECURITY, AND ECONOMY, OF THE U.S.A. Based on their egregious behavior, ALL TRADE NEGOTIATIONS WITH CANADA ARE HEREBY TERMINATED. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DJT."

Trump's rash demolition may be spreading asbestos through the White House.

Trump’s crew may be spreading asbestos with unpermitted White House teardown: expert

"Lots of renovations in the '50s, '60s and '70s which have more nefarious materials being used. We are under such strict guidelines when taking apart building like this. They are absolutely not allowed to demo a building like this in the manner that they are. In Chicago, we have to recycle all demo materials," Boardman added.

A video showing construction unfolding on Wednesday revealed that there were no individuals in protective suits, typically used for asbestos remediation. Dust and debris continue to fly into the air, and the only method being used to keep down the dust is a water hose.

The East Wing demolition is a metaphor for what Trump is doing to the United States

The East Wing demolition is a metaphor for what Trump is doing to the United States

    excerpt:

"The act raises many red flags. The East Wing historically housed the Office of the First Lady; it seems nothing was done to protect the history of women’s contributions to the presidency. By bulldozing the structure, Trump is effectively erasing women from the history of the White House. Apart from an upcoming Halloween appearance, where will Melania Trump work? She has not commented on the destruction, though a former aide, speaking for herself, said the situation “breaks [her] heart.” What about the security of the Presidential Emergency Operations Center, a bunker beneath the East Wing where Trump retreated during the start of the George Floyd protests?"

The East Wing demolition is a metaphor for what Trump is doing to the United States

    excerpt:

"The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization said in a press release it is “calling for immediate transparency and strict compliance with federal safety laws,” in light of the demolition, as the original structure probably contained asbestos. This would involve the White House and contractors disclosing an asbestos inspection prior to demolition, notification to work, containment and safe removal of asbestos material, measures to ensure worker safety, and the proper disposal of hazardous waste."

Read excerpts from Reagan’s 1987 speech on tariffs
By Aaron Blake and Alex Leeds Matthews
    October 25, 2025

    https://www.cnn.com/2025/10/24/politics/reagan-1987-speech-tariffs-trade-vis

    excerpt:

"Reagan’s remark that he is “loathe” to impose tariffs is where we start to get into the contrast with Trump’s approach, which has been to levy huge tariffs on many countries in the service of negotiating. Reagan White House officials repeatedly emphasized this was a step they didn’t want to take, but they had their hand forced. “Nobody wants a trade war, but nobody wants to be a patsy either,” Reagan White House chief of staff Howard Baker said shortly before the tariffs were announced.

This section is another notable difference from Trump. While Trump initially billed his tariffs as being about unfair trade policies, that justification quickly came into question. He’s justified his tariff threats using a multitude of reasons, including sometimes dubious claims of alleged drug-trafficking, Denmark refusing to sell Greenland to the United States, and most recently on Thursday, him being upset about an ad from the government of Ontario. The formula for Trump’s initial “Liberation Day” worldwide tariffs also, quite notably, was focused not on specific unfair trade policies, but rather trade imbalances."
