So for the last three days my boyfriend has been accusing me of cheating on him. On what basis? He doesn't have one. We got in a huge fight last night...and let's just say things got really bad.

After awhile we both calmed down and talked. Well, he said he was hungry (one a.m.) and asked me if he could borrow my truck to go get something to eat. He doesn't have a car at the moment and he has a suspended license, but I told him to go right there and right back. He said no problem.

I went upstairs and fell asleep. I wake up to my cell phone ringing at 6:30 am. It's him "Annie I'm in jail." It's so early my brain wasn't even functioning. I didn't ask where he was or where my truck was. He said he needed me to call his work and tell them he wasn't going to be out until 2 pm tomorrow.

The worst part? My purse is in my truck, with my money, credit cards, driver's license, EVERYTHING. I don't know where my truck is or anything.

I'm in the process of packing up my boyfriends shit right now. This is the end of the line. He's been making me miserable for the last month.

Does anyone know who I should call to find out where my truck is? I don't know where he's in jail at or even where to begin looking! I let him borrow my truck, so I can't report it stolen. WHAT DO I DO??

Try and find out where the truck is and get that damn purse. Keep packing that losers shit up and drop it off to his parents or something. Think of where he might go to keep something to eat at one am and track back. Or better yet call the police and ask them. Just curious but where in Mi do you live? Hope things get better.

If he was caught driving without a license (which is likely), your truck has probably been impounded. Call your local police station, they will probably be able to locate it, but you may have to pay to get it out.
I hope you don't get into trouble for giving him the keys, knowing he didn't have a license.

He told me he got in a fight and that's how he got thrown in jail, but he's been known to be quite a good liar.

what a loser!! was he drunk too? daisymae is right, call the police or whichever law enforcement agency arrested him and they should know where your truck is.
oh and to find out where he is, call the jail and they should have his name if he is at that facility.
I would make him pay you back if you have to pay any impound fees, which from what I have heard can get pretty damn expensive.

I dont think it was very smart to give the keys to someone with a suspended license. its as much your fault as it is his.

Well go in your phone book and look for "police impound" or call the cops (not 911[duh]) and ask the number for the impound.

I've called every jail in the area and all of them said that he isn't there. Without knowing that, I can't find my car!

    *cries* I'm getting scared now.

Protect your own ass at this point....call the police and report your vehicle as stolen.

In the future it might just pay not to lend your vehicle to someone without a licence or a suspended licence.

Lesson, you also need to grow up. Where was your head, lending your vehicle to him in the first place. It has a direct effect on your insurance and if he has gotten into trouble or god forbid had an accident then it is your ass that is in court being sued not his. You knew he had no liscence......wow.

Sure as hell hope that he has not wiped out a family while driving or you might as well pack you future wages for the next 50 years goodbye. Expensive lesson. :(

Call your city's police department, if they know nothing call you county's sheriff, if they don't know call the Michigan state patrol's office. If he was driving on the highway there's a good chance he would have been stopped by the state patrol, not the local police. You may get in a little trouble for letting him drive your car without a liscense, but it shouldn't be too major. Feel free to pm me or im me at Bortmeister13 on AIM if you need more help.

Peace and Best of Luck, Alex

I guess being young and naive is a crime in most states. I was just trying to help someone out and look what it gets me? Does it not pay to be nice in this society or what? I've always given people the benefit of the doubt...but I guess that's just me.

No the crime is in not thinking and acting as an adult. You knew and still gave him the keys.

I am not going to sugar coat that and say poor you...

He has no licence for a reason.....and yet you gave him your keys.

The earlier comment about you might be in a little trouble for giving him your car is ridiculous......you are responsible as you own the car.

Call and report it as stolen.

But at the same time do not expect sympathy from anyone who could be driving and hit by him and then have to spend years in court to sue you to get legitimate compensation for any accident. Not reasonable.

You made a choice to lend him your vehicle.....hopefully for the last time.

You did not mention why he lost his licence. ;)

Benefit of the doubt goes to those who hold a licence and who usually are dependable and would go out and get something to eat and come back....or is there not delivery?

You want sympathy and I do not have it for this situation, instead I have it for the person he could of hit.

    Called reality.

BTW, legally I have given you the out that you need......if you take it. It is, call the police and report your car as stolen.

I detest the loophole but it is there if you choose to take it and absolve yourself of poor judgement and legal responsibility.

Perhaps you might of missed that with being miffed at being told that you were not responsible. ;)

Don't ever change :) This sounds like a case of really bad luck. Yeah, letting him use your truck might not have been the best idea, but who would have forseen this? Also, I just had the craziest idea, but if your cell phone was in the purse, you should try calling it. If someone answers, you've found your car!

    Peace, Alex

P.S. Do not report your car as stolen. Lying about the situation will only make it worse.

I'm not looking for sympathy. I was looking for suggestions. What I did, happened. No matter what I do or say now is going to change that. Whatever he did also happened. The reason his license is suspended was because he got in a drunk driving accident while riding his motorcycle.

Bottom line, I'm not looking for sympathy. I don't want it. Sympathy doesn't get my car back. Advice does.

I've reported it stolen. The police are on their way over to my house right now.

Now hope you can lie to them and tell them you did not know he was convicted of DUI and that he took your car without permission.

I may sound harsh but I also gave you a legal solution to this.....take it and learn something, please.

It is not giving it is being used.....at the best you should of driven him to get his take out order or told him to screw off and starve. ;)

Hope the outcome is good for you.....mean that but please take away a lesson in this for you as to give to a loser is not good as no light will ever come back to your soul from that.

Take the legal out and learn something.

    Peace and light to you.
