some say that this asteroid called the MARDUK has an orbital passage period. During that period, it comes close to the Earth and all the geological layers get attracted to it. So massive volcanic eruptions and earthquakes at unmeasurable scale are waited in the year 2012. check out: http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/Marduk%20(planet) it'd be nice if we all died, the disgrace of the universe, greedy murderer animals we are.
This post belongs here: http://hipforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=50 I hope it takes out all the insane hysterical nuts who do nothing but overstate problems to attract attention while contributing nothing of their own. Speak for yourself buddy, the universe is a lot better with me here. I hope your not really taking sumerian fiction too seriously.
Every year there's a new damn asteroid coming for earth thats gonna hit us and kill us all. Really, who gives a shit, cause it is'nt gonna happen, and if it does, well shit. There's really no reason bitching about it, cause there's nothing we can do.
Bring it on! I think that would be a cool way to die. Better than fighting in a war or getting hit by a car....
Why don't you lead us all by example then ? added: Besides, if any meteor came close to Earth, I'd just smash it to pieces with my wang. No big deal.
If the worlds going to end, trust me, I'll be behind it. I'll bring a revolution to our planet. Even Maxpowers mighty wang wont be able to stop me.
Any other time, I'd have to agree with you about attention seeking hysterical cashews and filberts. But, I'm inclined to make a two sided sign out of boards to wear while I pace back and forth in front of Denny's. The front will say 'The End of the World is here' and I'm thinking about 'eat at Joe's' for the backside. And I'm no planter's peanut. I'm a sane and rational adult who never panics, even when there's trauma and death. So why am I suddenly an eschatologist? It's all about the northern ice cap is melting at an unbelievable rate, and the Northwest Passage is actually clear! check your compass, did someone change North while you weren't looking? where ever you live, how's the weather? is it the same as it always is, for this time of year? when's the last time you did a little night time star gazing? have you seen how low the moon sits when it rises? where I live, and a few people I know, including residents of the UK, get a lightning show almost every night, often without much thunder or rain have you read about all the beached whales and missing birds, both of whom navigate with magnetic orientation? earthquakes are way more frequent, and of greater intensity. this is easily verified on the internet when examined overall, the world's animal kingdom is currently suffering a mass extinction, such as those that killed the dinosaurs. we don't notice because it happens slowly the sea levels are rising this is the strangest of all--and I'm not making this up--there are strange creatures emerging, such as giant birds in alaska, mothman or thunderbird and chupacawa in south america. . There's forces that run the universe, of which we have no understanding. Just the same, they don't know our names. There's not much we can do to stand in the way of the progress of plans that were initiated before we were even tribolites in a vast shallow sea, before the very first extinction. I know it's probably a dire thought, when you haven't even reached the legal age for alcohol, but it doesn't have to be. It's not like we are just going to cease being, the principle of the conservation of matter applies to all matter, whether it's slow atoms, like our bodies, or fast atoms, like our spirits. If you've ever imagined what it was like to be on earth in the beginning, it's got to be just as mind boggling to be here for the end (of the earth, not of us). This world is gone past even damage control. The truth is, we're at the lowest place in existence, some might even call it hell. So how can change be anything but an improvement? BTW, does anyone know where the rulers of Sumerian civilization came from originally? I'll give you a hint: They didn't climb to get here, they didn't drop off of a passing planet, and they didn't come on a spaceship; they fell.
No, they still function, but if you're familiar with the orientation in the place you live, you should find that they do not point the 'same North' as they did a few years back. People that have measured have come up with a change of about 15 degrees (lat and long degrees) each year, and I think it was down from the north pole, between Canada and Europe, (is that where greenland is?) in a sort of slanted direction. I just found out that 7 degrees celcius, which is what the north pole web cam had posted on the picture, is actually 44.6 degrees farenheit! Damn near toasty for the North pole, I'd say. This is unprecedented in known history, some of that ice has been there perhaps 10 million years! And what's on the news? Presidential election BS and more propaganda related to the war on terrorism. What a wonderful world!
From the rest of your post, you're obviously NOT a sane and rational adult. You're no different than any other the-sky-is-falling nut. Is global warming a problem? Sure. Is it going to end life on earth for all plants and animals, including humans? Hardly. Oh really. Perhaps you show me on a world map where the Northwest Passage is. I don't know where you came up with this ridiculous idea. It sounds like something right out of the National Enquirer. North is the same as it has been for millennia. If it changed at anything like 15 degrees per year, modern machinery would simply cease to function, especially satellites. The earth's magnetic flux changes very very slowly. Again, global warming is a problem but it's not going to be the doom of mankind. Sigh...Let me guess...The moon is in the seventh house and Jupiter is aligning with Mars, bringing about the age of Aquarius? Or is it a sign of the apocalypse and the second coming of Jesus? Honestly, where do you come up with this nonsense? The moon is the same as it has always been. Easily verified where? And please don't link to some tabloid. And even if this one were true, why does it mean the sky is falling? You are correct about this one (except it's not yet as severe as the dinosaur extinction). However, this mass extinction is mainly caused by humans, not by any geological phenomenon. See my previous comment about global warming. You left out Big Foot, the Lochness Monster, the Abominable Snowman, and Elvis' clone. . Wow. That's really all I can say, wow. You really need to open a science book. Or at least a book dealing with critical thinking and basic logic. Personally I think this little planet is one hell of a lot better for humans now than at any time in the past. Do you have any evidence of this outside of what you read in the Weekly World News?
The computer you are using to write this nonsense, along with the website you got it from, would not work if the North Pole had moved 15 degrees over the course of a few years. The North Pole is NOT 44.6 degrees Fahrenheit, and any base knowledge of physics would tell you that it is IMPOSSIBLE for the North Pole to be that warm unless the ENTIRE ICE CAP had already melted (which I don't think even you believe).
Kandahar your completly right, in fact the only measurable global warming thats happened over the past 100 years is 2 F, hardly apocolyptic considering the massive gains in the standard of living all over the world in the 20th century. Another 2 or 3 F in the next hundred years will definatly be worth it if you consider the advances that are almost ineviatable. Aside from that, in the past 100 years, the accuracy of measurments has improved, so theres no way of discerning if that temperature change is within the margin of error, and even if its true, theres no way of telling if this is just not a natural flux the earth goes through. I'm not saying there aren't real enviormental problems, and I'm not saying global warming isn't problematic, all I'm saying is we're not all iminentyly doomed. usually people who are predicting doom are also making money off of it.
Here's a web cam picture of the north pole, snow has fallen, and it's colder than when I initially posted, but there's also a picture of that day, which shows the temperature at the bottom left corner. You can see these pictures are of the same place, and the date is at the top. today's north pole a few days ago
Did I say the sky is falling? No, I did not. The sky will remain the sky, of course. Global warming is not the problem they say it is, although it is currently a scapegoat of explanation, employed by the government and their minions. Did I say global warming would end life? No, I didn't say that, either. The only thing that has the power to end all life on this planet is the same as what put it here originally. Before you start bashing my state of mind consider this: it is at least slightly more sound than yours, since I'm not putting words in your mouth or making assumptions without checking things out! Read carefully. Respond, don't react. Reactions give you away more than you realize. maps Wow, you really need to open a history book. Or at least an atlas. I wouldn't know, I don't read it. If suddenly changed, humans would notice. 15 degrees is not a sudden change. Also, and you can check this out yourself, easily enough, if you know how to 'search': how do you explain all the beached whales and misguided birds, (both of whom find their direction with the magnetic fields of the earth) which are being reported by reputable and credible sources? Is everyone Chicken Little but you? Wrong again. Again, no it's not, and I didn't say it was going to be. Bigger sigh…let me guess! You don’t look at the night sky very often, or at least pay attention to it. I’d also bet that you probably think we’re all descended from apes, and originally we were all ameobas and protozoas. Try a ‘search engine’, you know, those things that help you use the internet for research? They’re amazing in what they turn up, with the entry of just one word! You get all sides of the human voice, pro, con, reactionary, irrational, as well as objective and subjective. This allows rational and sane people to assimilate their findings, then by comparison enables the pure nonsensical ‘facts’ to be thrown out, thus permitting a reasonable and accurate picture to be formed of the subject being researched. I had no idea you could link to tabloids, since I don't read them. You seem to be more of an expert on tabloids and their contents than I am, for sure. You're not correct... The majority of previous mass extinctions were not sudden, and the dinosaur extinction was not that ‘severe’, in terms of mass extinctions. Not all were caused by a geological phenomenon, either, although scientists continue to find something to explain their occurrence. Could it be more like a necessary housecleaning, to remove toxins and waste from the system? Right. You can fill me on those, since they don’t have anything to do with what I’m talking about. Is everything you see all that you think there is? Is everything that exists visible and explainable by you? Is the reality you perceive truly the absolute, for yourself as well as others? If you answer ‘yes’ to any one of those questions, then you’re the nut, not me! As well as arrogant and blind. Critical thinking and basic knowledge…hmmm…why don’t you teach me what they are, since you are the expert. Also a scientist, I presume. Well, that explains it. Based on what? Do you think that this planet is our property, and that we determine what happens to it? Do you actually think the actions of people have any sort of influence on the plans of intelligent sources you are obviously unaware of? You don’t seem to understand the powers that rule kingdoms far greater than this paltry little planet and the human race, although they put you here, just like they did me, and everyone and everything else. This is their baby, not ours! I don’t think we’ve done anything but harm to ourselves and the earth, with our short-sighted plastic society that’s based on externally judged traits with no real value except what’s right-here-and-now, and endless cycle of toxins treated with more toxins, and a shadow-based economy based on paper which is just paper, unless, of course, it’s plastic. We allow ourselves to be led by persons of questionable veracity with even more questionable agendas, who insult our intelligence daily with such ridiculousness as ‘the war on terror’ and ‘the war on drugs’ which are basically employed by the previously mentioned ‘weapons of mass distraction’. One thing is for sure, society needs a good cleaning, because it's a mess beyond just mere 'tidying up.' You might think I’m nuts, but the truth is, I’m just not distracted. Can you say the same? I didn’t know any of this was in that, what is it—a newspaper, a tabloid?—I don’t read that, either. I choose not to be fed bullshit by the non-free press that most people believe without question. What you believe determines even more than how you react.
That is NOT a Northwest Passage. It is A) highly un-navigable because of smaller islands scattered throughout, and B) frozen solid for most of the year. Umm, yes. It is. I don't know how else to put it... You do understand geometry right? There are 360 degrees in a circle. 15 degrees is 4% of that...an ENORMOUS change. 15 degrees is greater than the distance from Maine to Florida. Of course humans would notice a change like that. We'd notice it when all of our satellites, televisions, computers, and spaceships suddenly stopped working. I have no desire to play guessing games. Either back up your information with reputable sources or withdraw your claims as the baloney they are. Once again, you do not name any reputable and credible sources. How do I "explain" them? It's simply not happening any more than usual. Yep, I'm one of those godless "evil"utionists. Clearly, your god hates science, so he'll condemn me to hell for believing in the obvious. The dinosaur extinction was one of the top three in world history...I'd say that makes it pretty severe. As for not being sudden, most geologists and paleontologists have estimated that the dinosaur extinction occurred over a period of 1-100 years...a blink of an eye on a geological scale. I make no apologies for basic scientific skepticism. Try thinking rationally about the evidence instead of just believing whatever sounds the "coolest." There are so many fascinating things that you can learn from REAL physics and biology, that I don't understand why anyone would need to embrace this kind of pseudoscientific horseshit that you're talking about. Yes, and yes. I'm "unaware" of them because they do NOT exist. If you want to prove me wrong, you're going to need a whole lot more evidence than "Some guy's website says so! Search for it yourself!" Absolutely. I'm not distracted by this pseudoscientific horseshit, because I prefer examining REAL science and REAL scientific theories. Some of it is speculative, sure, but it is at least based on real evidence and experimentation, and no one claims that speculative science is DEFINITELY true. This nonsense you are spouting has absolutely NO evidence to back it up, OVERWHELMING evidence against it, and NO credibility whatsoever because you have still FAILED TO PROVIDE A SINGLE REPUTABLE SOURCE.
The Northwest Passage is the Northwest Passage, always has been and always will be. It's something that many explorers searched for, something that many died failing to find. And it does happen to be depicted on the map that she has linked. The fact that you would deny that this is the case makes one really wonder just how little you really know. The people who happen to study climate change are highly qualified scientists, so I'm not sure how you can argue that it's "pseudoscientific" and then seriously claim that you "prefer examining REAL science". Obviously you have no clue as to the nature of scientific research when it comes to climate change, and by the sounds of it, your sources for "real" and "scientific evidence" are probably the right-wing media, and the right-wing/corporate sponsored think-tanks that they glean their "facts" from.
Read your history books, it's not 'a' northwest passage, it's 'the' northwest passage. It was quite significant as far as the history of North America, and the world! Either start using your brain and common sense or don't read my posts, no one said you had to. Just like I don't have to withdraw my claims. Next thing I know, you'll be telling me I no longer have the right to free speech. My G-d doesn't hate anyone, nor condemn them to hell. 'believing in the obvious', however is a foolish way to live, and the consequences of that have nothing to do with G-d. you don't have any idea of what is 'real' obviously. you must think your life on this planet is real. That's not what I meant! You are distracted by the weapons of mass distraction this society is throwing at you. you have no clue about what's going on nor are you paying any attention to anything that's in your scope of vision, which is obviously limited. You wouldn't know one if you saw one, obviously. I guess I should have included a tabloid, then you'd open your eyes. Or maybe you'd believe it if you saw it on CNN. Well, guess what? CNN doesn't tell you everything that's going on, or even what you should know. They tell you what the suits want you to be concerned with. You assume too much, and pay too little attention. Trust me, that will get you clotheslined! Not that you'll believe what I'm saying, here, either. Must be too uncomfortable for you to face reality. I'm sorry I disturbed you. Go back to your somnolence.
Oh, before you back to your deep sleep, one more thing. You just proved my point when you said You are the perfect example of the desired end product of mass distraction, your instincts and observational abilities have left you, since you abandoned them in favor of man's machines, which are much less reliable than the navigational devices built into migratory animals. They are way better off than people, they don't have a thumb, and they don't have society that molds their brains into silly putty.
Kandahar is a sad sad sad man. All he does is be angry, and masturbate to women that he can never have.
